Are there any ear muffs, headphones or the like that isolate ALL noise?

I know of active noise cancelling, but I haven't tried it yet.
Is there anyone here that know whether or not such noise cancellation exists for the average consumer market?
Basically, I'm looking for something that will make me feel completely deaf.
Sometimes I just want to shut everything out and have the opportunity to relax, regardless of the state of my environment.
So, do you have any suggestions?

You can find yourself some ear bud earplugs. Pretty cheap as well. They won't block out all the noise but should get you -12db of attenuation at least, which as well as blocking out a lot of noise will do wonders for the low end response from such little speakers as well as allow you to listen to the music at a significantly lower volume.

They also call them in-ear ear buds.

Well, you could take a bullet to the head. I think after that things would be pretty quiet.
OT: None that I know of, but you could get some regular ear plugs, because unless you are constantly near an airport, you probably don't need anything else.

Well, that's what those BOSE headphones promise to do. I've never used them myself, as I prefer simple over the ear headphones to those earbud things.

I use the harder, reusable ear plugs myself. I have a roommate who likes to play the same three songs with repetitive chords on his guitar, so sometimes I need a break from the auditory world. They're not perfect, but it's the best ear plug I've run across.

BOSE makes the over-ear headphones too.

Active Noise Reduction, more specifically, look into David Clark's aviation headsets and earmuffs. Put in some foam earplugs before putting on the headset and you'll have a hard time hearing a lot of sound.

Specifically these http://www.davidclark.com/HeadsetPgs/ENCHearProt.html

They do cost a pretty penny. A VERY pretty penny. I use the H10-76 type of headset when I fly, that's the older military model. Great headsets I must say.
