I've been in a long-distance relationship technically for almost a year now, but it has only become official this past week. She's a year and a half older than me (I'm sixteen, she's going on eighteen), and lives around 300 miles away, but that doesn't bother me one bit.

We met at Hume Lake, a camp that churches all across California go to every year. By the end of the week, we were in love. I had helped her through a really rough time in her life, and we grew closer than I've ever been to anybody else. We've stayed just as close over the past year, and are still very happy together.

I mean, is that Japanese or something? What?

Nope, and it's looking to stay that way for awhile. Just graduated high school and might end up moving states and such.

Though, curious, has anyone written a letter to their future husband/wife?

My partner and I met online a year and a half ago, we fell in love, he came to America and spent a week and a half with me, and then six months later I moved to Australia to be with him. No second guesses and no regrets.

We have a wonderful, deep and meaningful relationship. It's hard sometimes and it was very hard at first, but we've always worked through every problem that we've ever had and we always will.

It's very hard immigrating to another country when you can't get married, but our relationship has only gotten stronger in face of these trials. This is the most difficult thing I've ever had to do in my life and there's nobody who I'd rather do it with.

I met my boif in a forum, lol. He lives ten hours away, which is close enough that it feels close, but far enough away that we can't do much visiting anyway 9_9
I'm going to university, and I still have a couple years left, but after that I'm moving in with him if it's still going well ^^ We've been dating about ten or eleven months now, he came down to visit for a week but other than that it's all been online. It gets frustrating sometimes. Oh well, I love him a lot ^^

No, and I haven't been in one yet either, not that I haven't tried. Getting an engineering degree at one of the top engineering colleges doesn't really leave me with a lot of time to socialize, let alone look for a relationship. I've recently been told that a girl here at the dorms has a bit of a crush on me, but I don't feel the same way towards her, so I will probably end up staying single throughout the summer at the very least.

Yup, coming up to a year now.
Neither of us expected it to last.
Not that I'm complaining, of course.

Yet another person attempting to make me feel guilty for not having entered a relationship, and having absolutely no ability to do so because of my poor appearance and horrible personality? It seems so!

No. I'm not and never have been in a relationship. Because of certain facets of my personality, no woman will ever be sufficiently attracted to me to ever enter into a relationship with me. In case you're wondering, yes, I am extremely bitter about this, particularly as I have nothing else in my pathetic life to look forward to.
Change your personality.

OT: No. A 2 year relationship ended a few months ago. Still devastated, no idea how to get back in the game.

Congratulations, by the way.

I've been in one serious relationship and a few casual ones.

I've never been in love and am currently not in a relationship.

Gratz OP, so that van thing worked out after all :p

The "this is the best thing evar" feeling is prettymuch the same for all new relationships, and after a while that high goes away and you can see things as they really stand, so for the love of god don't rush anything.

Yup. Been living with her for about a year, and... well... I guess I'm kind of a bastard for feeling this way, but I miss the fuck-buddy I had before I went and got this girlfriend of mine. We had a little more in common, and I was having a lot more sex. I mean a lot more sex.
...and I wasn't even living with that one...

Nope. Mostly due to my own issues such as low self esteem and a crippling sense of rejection. Also I'm fairly certain most females don't find fat guys all that attractive, so my physical appearance has a considerable amount to do with my loneliness.

Its kind of weird, After graduating high school last year I tried and succeeded in pushing the girl I had developed a massive crush on from my mind as I assumed I'd likely never see her again due to the fact that she is a year younger than me. Well, the other day I went to my younger brother's graduation and she was there. I figured it was fine if I just saw her and didn't talk to her at all, of course the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry and after the ceremony I found myself talking to her. Now I'm right back where I started with her wedged into my mind, except she's going away to college while I'm stuck here going to community college.
