FYI my 'u' and 'm' keys are stuck now

OK, East Asians definition of cuteness, Japan - 'Moe', Korea, Taiwan etc, have distinct categories for sexy and cutesy women in movies and tv shows. Even after 30, some actresses/celebs look young enough to be 'cute'

In the West, cute refers mostly to teenage boys and kittens. Celebs like Miley and Taylor swift are sexed up before puberty, what gives?

comments?

uh, miley did that of her own accord, and Taylor Swift isn't a whore. Plus it's a fact that Asian people don't age as quickly as other races.

I like Asian cute, and even the "Anime" cute or "Moe" as you called it.

What? The only place with a substantially higher life expectancy is Japan.

-_0? I've never heard that one before.

Also who says the west doesn't classify girls as cute?

Asian women can't compare to western (from my european perspective, it probably is something cultural)

You mean you are not familiar enough with their facial structure to recognise the signs of aging.
They age just the same as everyone else, you just find it hard to place ages to faces because you don't spend enough time looking.
Although some areas of Japan do live longer.

It seems strange that you say as a comparison that

Perhaps my perceptions are wrong, but I have always been under the impression that what you described amongst asian women, looking extremely young and cutesy, is what it means to be "sexed up" there. So the West in all honesty isn't really all that different in how women are treated as sexual icons, we just have different perceptions of what a sexual icon ought to look like.

No seriously, they don't visibly age as fast as... maybe not "other races," (I notice that black people tend to stay younger longer too) but definitely slower than white people. On the inside, they're just as creaky as everyone else, but if you go by white people face-aging standards, you have to add a decade before you're even in the right ballpark.

Maybe it's because they don't smoke as much or spend as much time in the sun as the white people you know. Both makes your skin age prematurely.

WTF, Asia has some sort of time control mechanism???
There was me thinking time passed the same speed for all of us here on Earth, but noooooo, the god dam Asians make it go slower their side of the world.

My mum's Chinese; she used to spend a lot of time in the sun and it comes out in the form of sunspots. But still, the age guessers at the CNE would consistently place her about a decade younger than she was.

What I meant was, there's no difference between a cute girl and a hot girl in western terms, interchangeable.

In Japan, stuff like stuff toys, doe eyed looks, ditziness accumulate to the 'cuteness'.
Hot however refers to well dressed women, or bikini models etc

I've been to southern France, where the vast majority of people smoke. Also, there is a lot of sunlight there (as there should be, it's right on the Medditerranian). Even the oldest people I saw didn't show too many signs of aging. Maybe French people are just awesome like that.

Or they consume lots of fish and olive oil to compensate. You know, omega- and cis-fatty acids and all that stuff.
And fruit would help against the free radicals.
