What's the most powerful sniper rifle out there. Maybe that's a bit broad, but answer how you can.
Yep, pretty broad. Especially depending on the meaning of "powerful" I will assume you mean longest range.
For an easy answer, most any .50 BMG rifle, they shoot at 1000 meters pretty easily and can shoot around 3000 with a practiced hand.
There are a few similar weapons based on metric rounds, 13MM and etc, like this one
http://world.guns.ru/sniper/sn46-e.htm
they have a similar capability. but the .50 BMG is much more common to my knowledge, as the round is much more common. I am not sure if any have actually been put to use in the battlefield.
For other measures of power, the .50 BMG can fire exploding rounds (RAUFOSS) which gives them the ability to take out APCs. Those rounds are not civilian legal.
(funny story, military .50 BMG sniping emerged from carlos hathcocks cobbled together M2 browning but mostly from civilians who manufactured long range target rifles from them for fun)
Regardless, these are more like cannons, outside of miniature artillery weapons its not the gun that makes the sniper, most sniper weapons are chambered in the same or a similar caliber, 7.62X51, also called 7.62 Nato (russians used 7.62X54R) So most sniper rifles are of roughly equal power.

Have you ever wondered anything about guns?
Ask me, I dont know everything but I know alot and can easily discover what I dont know.
I am not a hardcore gamer, but if you have a question about firearms that relate to games I will do my best.
Gun history
Gun laws
Anything remotely firearm related is open for questions.
wht are guns for?
Guns are for throwing rocks, really fast and really small rocks.
Anything else is user intent.

what gun(s) do you use,and why do you have them.
Thats such a huge question I am not sure how to answer.
Some for sentiment (first rifle, etc)
Some for historical (replicas or originals of historical weapons, civil war and WWII only so far, thought I want more)
Some for specific purpose (hunting, snake defense)
Some are just fun, for target shooting.
Most guns can fill several roles, a historic military weapon can easily be used for hunting (thousands were manufactured, there are plenty of museum pieces) a target shooting weapon is also good for snake defense.
Its much like asking a golfer why he has so many clubs, wont just one do?
