I'd love for one during the English Civil War. That'd be brutal.

Fun Fact: The Eng. Civil War is the deadliest war to date, pound-for-pound. The population levels were much smaller back then, so thoguh WW1 killed more people (a lot more), the Civil War killed a quarter of the population

hehe...Asscreed

I want the present time. I want the present time. I WANT THE PRESENT TIME!

No WWI, II, II or XXXXXVII! How many ACs do you intend to release? A billion? Why not release one for every year in history! Yeah that would work!

I want a modern day Assassins Creed, parkouring in cities and using high tech tools to dispose of your victims. Finding the perfect vantage point to snipe someone or backstabbing them. And then having to think of an exit strategy before they get to you. They could eve use Desmond himself, without having to use the animus. Now that's something I would play. And no fucking sewer levels -.-

Probably your average communist.

Assassins' Creed XXXV

Please, no, just no.

Where would it be set? In Gabe Newell's back garden?
..Assassins Creed is a trilogy..

EDIT: Wait..I think I thought wrong.

There was something a long while ago about a book trilogy for assassin's creed but never really much about it.

But I don't see how many more games they could make out of the idea.

I am SO tired of WWII. Please, please, please. Not again. The good part about Assassins Creeds story so far has been that they have been trampling around in unused part of history, not what everyone else does.

And how would they make the stabby-blades fit into that era? Wasn't it all about guns at that time? I suppose they could go with dual hidden guns instead, but... er... I like stabbing.

Also, PLEASE no space marines. I'm tired of those too.

Female assassin? That would be cool.

Oh come on, World War I would still work fine, but WWII? Why? Why would you do what everyone else has done? Even Valve's technically done World War II before.

The Second Great Overdone War would be boring as hell.
And someone said that guns would be bad. I agree, but it seems like the gun in AC2 is fairly balanced.

If an Assassin's Creed game starts to have guns, I won't buy it... And also, doesn't this sound exactly like Velvet Assassin?
Ah so your not getting Assassin's Creed II. As far as going with WWII Assassin's Creed. I feel that would not be fun seeing how we have killed every major player for the German's 100 times. How about helping the ninja's rid japan of the Samurai, Mongol invasions of Japan, First War of Scottish Independenc, Wars of the Roses, or any from this list that are before the invention of handheld automatic firearms.

No WWII, and don't sequel the hell out of the game (turn it into a cash cow and push out crappy sequels and spinoffs), just wrap it up in present time ACIII and call it a wrap.

"I'm often asked if we're doing a third game after ACII... I mean, we could do 35 of these."

Oh god! Ubisoft is turning into Square Enix!

Nooooo!

Talk about following in the footsteps of Velvet Assassin.

I think they should, at latest, move into the 1700's / 1800's. It work in older history.

Who is there to assassinate in WWII England? I can't think of anything that could be done, society had too much order for a hooded assassin to go gallivanting across rooftops stabbing people, arrests would be made.

I think the Russian revolution would be fun, in the snow and whatnot. (I don't think there was enough order at that point for stuff like what I just mentioned to happen)

It would be interesting to see the side of WWII that computer games haven't touched. Especially considering it's arguably the most popular setting for games.

Extra Points if they actually involve the whole mass genocide thing that actually made the war so horrific. Double Extra points if they do it and it doesn't come off as distasteful.

Fuck all that. AssCreed 3 needs to be in the fucking future without the Animus. That's right, this time you FINALLY play Desmond. Screw being a chick in WW2, I want some futuristic freerunning with knives.

Funny enough I always imagined Assassin Creed III being set in the present day playing as Desmond for some reason being that it was the last in a trilogy. Probably couldn't work though.
I was thinking the exact thing, than I realized he'd probably get gunned down, unless he goes Batman Arkhym Asylum on them.

/facepalm

Of all the possible settings, they HAD to consider World War 2?! Why not something else, something that has not been explored so bloodily extensively? Hell, they could even take Pachter's suggestion and go for the French revolution. Well, it's still too early to discuss about Assassin's Creed III when the second one hasn't even been released yet, but I hope that they won't try this.
