What about Ubi Montreal give some local love and makes it take place in Quebec just after the English won the battle of the Abraham Plains.

If an Assassin's Creed game starts to have guns, I won't buy it... And also, doesn't this sound exactly like Velvet Assassin?
Ah so your not getting Assassin's Creed II. As far as going with WWII Assassin's Creed. I feel that would not be fun seeing how we have killed every major player for the German's 100 times. How about helping the ninja's rid japan of the Samurai, Mongol invasions of Japan, First War of Scottish Independenc, Wars of the Roses, or any from this list that are before the invention of handheld automatic firearm's.

Oops, major flaw in my post because I will get Assassin's Creed 2. I meant modern weaponry, I know I wasn't clear on that in my post. I'd just prefer that it be set in a different setting, I really dislike WWII.

Great... how original, a WWII game. Never seen one of those before. What a unique idea. How innovative.

I'd better stop before I have a sarcasm overload.

Oh god! Ubisoft is turning into Square Enix!

Hahaha couldn't put that better myself.

I could of sworn that the first game opened up a wide door for the player to possibly go as a ninja in Japan. Why don't they roll with that idea?

World War 2, female assassin... haven't we already done this? And recently?

I suppose that hasn't stopped people before.

World War 2 wouldn't really work as an Assassin's Creed game. I mean with all the hand-to-hand combat that was actually fun being bumraped by, you know, everyone having guns what's the combat going to amount to?

Civil War I could understand 'caue the guns they had sucked.

No, just no; WW2 games have been way overdone there's no possible way I'd buy that without a 100/100 on metacritic.

The two settings I would like to see are 1700-1800s or present day.

Why not the English Civil War? That could honestly rock quite hard.
That's not a good idea, most people have heard of the Templars and almost everyone knows of the Renaissance but there are very few Americans that know England had a civil war. I had no clue personally.
All the more reason to do it. It's a scenario that hasn't been used before at all.

I'm thinking that somewhere around the age of colonization or American civil war time periods would be better.

I could take 5 Assassins Creed games. As long as they open and close nicely.

But World War 2. NNNNNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Because ninjas are only slightly less overdone than WW2.

I want the french revolution in 1789.
It would fit the gameplay and it was an important moment in history

I kind of like the idea. I just want to know how they can fit the guns in. Because, you know, blades don't really work well against guys with flamethrowers.

Correct Shinobi have not been very well done. Every ninja came is something akin to Ryu Hyabusha. I want to see an Assassin's Creed style ninja game, with fire bombs and caltrops. That will be unique.

WW2 is a bad idea. All my reasons have been previously explained.

How about the Meiji Restoration? The assassin could be a European mercenary, which would keep the bloodline going. A tumultuous historical period, a broad mix of weapons, plenty of factions to screw around with...sounds ideal to me.
