probably off topic but I'd really like to see Yahtzee do a special episode of ZP concerning this topic ...
This guy is just trying to top Rush Limbaugh and Pat Robertson in the most outrageous accusation category, and that category is all fail and full of souless aholes.

As much as I disagree with this dude and what he stands for I can see where he is coming from. When something happens that gamers don't like, sometimes we Nerdrage pretty hard. I am pretty damn sure Mr. Atkinson has had some pretty horrible emails sent to him by gamers which kinda proves his point.
And people (mostly non-Australians, I think) need to stop treating him like the fucking Anti-Christ. As I said before, I disagree with a lot of the things he stands for but its not going to stop me from gaming and I'm not going to threaten him or demean his character, that won't solve anything. I remember reading here someone suggested that a guy doesn't move to Australia because Atkinson is here... Forget everything else that is great about this place.
Looking at a list of games banned in Australia, it doesn't look like we are missing out on much. Sure L4D2 blows without the gore but to be honest I am really not going to miss the uncensored BMX XXX and 50 Cent: Bulletproof. I know this is far from the point, censorship is bad, what I am trying to say is I will still be playing games with or without an R18+ rating.
Basically: Gamers can be dicks, and R18+ rating would rock but it shouldn't stop someone from gaming.
