Was I the only one that noticed the dinosaur sound effects in Avatar. I've seen the movie twice and it's kinda nagging at me. Here's the list I've come up with so far.

The Hammerhead Things = Brontosaurus
Flying things = Baby T-Rex
Black Catlike Predator = T-Rex
Horse/Anteater Thing = Velociraptors

Did anyone else hear this or do I need to adjust my meds?

I didn't notice it and even if they did it doesn't make the movie any less awsome

You need to give me your meds.

I have yet to see the movie, but it isn't the first time things like sounds get recycled.
Certain scenes where one sees only the surrounding area and none of the actors tend to be shot once and then re-used by many movies.

Bet the a Wilhelm scream was in both somewhere

Though I didn't notice the Jurassic Park sounds

Off topic: I noticed Peter Jackson's King Kong used a Wilhelm scream, the more films I watch the more widespread I realise it is

most of the sound effects in films are reused thats why all frogs go ribbit ribbit when only 1 type of frog does that, and the gullotine noise is a decade or more old sound of someone chopping a cabbage in half

FYI I loved the movie...If anything it added more to the ambiance.

There was a scene at the end when a guy gets squished that DESPERATELY needed the Wilhelm scream.

I'm pretty certain this kind of thing is common practice.

I don't know if it's worth mentioning but Cameron is also a big fan of Jurassic Park. He's listed it as the one film he wish he'd made but didn't.

Cameron is so full of himself though. so. if everyone who ever watched jurassic park died except him, he'd definatly just say he made it.

But then again, he could be like Michael Bay.

I only noticed the direhorse sounding like a velociraptor in the film. It was probably the only bad thing about the film, the story, characters and CGI more than made up for it.

Hollywood reuse everythign all the time. It saves money and time!
Sounds, sets and animations are all just copies.
