Ever realise that in some games like KH2 and witcher 2 that the final boss of the game isint the hardest. The final boss should be the hardest boss its the one reason that you were everywhere trying to finish that last quest so you can buy that sword that is unhuman as it does 500 billion damage to find out that you could beat that the boss up with your starting equipment and then you find a hidden secret boss that can beat you by simply sneezing at you i think its sorta an anoying thing to do in a game what do you think?

Absolutely. FFX's giant space tick was a bit of a cop out. On the other hand, Penance was a bastard. There was nothing in between though. Either auto-win or smash your face against a wall for half an hour.

Yu Yevon is pretty much the prime example of that.

What about the last boss of Fable 2 he was pretty easy also in Ninja Gaiden the bosses were never as hard as the first time you faced Alma in the church actually the whole game was easier from that point on and as for the last boss well he was a bit of a joke.

Im not sure I agree that last bosses should always be the hardest though as that limits what you can do with them as long as they are well designed and memorable it dosent really matter.

Optional secret bosses are where they should keep the most challenging boss fights (and usually do thankfully).

You thought that KH2 had an easy final boss? Really, I thought that Xemnas was pretty tough. Obviously, he's no Sephiroth, but for a final boss, I thought he was more than adequate.

Won't argue on Yu Yevon, though. He was a freaking cakewalk. But, at least Braska's Final Aeon was a good semi-boss fight. I like to think of him as the ACTUAL final boss, since he's the last boss in the game you can actually LOSE to.

I dunno about you, but I LIKE it when a game has a super-secret boss that's tougher than the actual final boss. Gives me something to work for after beating the story mode.

The final boss in FFXII was a rather big let-down, especially considering there are trash mobs leading up to him that are harder. He does negligible damage that's easily cured, has no "Oh Shit" abilities that nearly wipe out your team, and he can easily be beaten with auto-attacks. Hell, the last part of the fight is literally "wail on the boss until you get a cutscene", with him trying even less to stop you from killing him.

Ansem in Kingdom Hearts was a joke next to Sephiroth. Hell, I think the hidden boss in Agrabah was a greater challenge. Then in Final Fantasy VII, the final form of Sephiroth where you just Omnislash him is kind of a joke compared to his angelic form (both of which are huge jokes compared to Emerald and Ruby weapons)

Lol remember Fable 2?

"Here go and kill this one final boss guy by tapping him lightly with a magical toy box. Or don't and a random NPC goes and shoots him in the face for you!"

Yeah non-difficult final bosses are pretty bad... I assume there would be one or two cool exceptions out there. Can't think of any at the moment though XP

Freakin' Nyx in Persona 3 was supposed to be really hard as well, he didn't stand a chance against my ridiculous stockpile of epic full party heal/SP restore items. Ok I was on easy mode but come on, easy mode in Persona 4 was bloody difficult why not in Persona 3?
