They've done it again, you crazeehh bastards. Babylon's gameplay looks like a cross of Metal Gear Rising, Bayonetta, Nier: Automata, and Astral Chain & DMC4 pull enemies to you mechanic. And a badass dark fantasy setting sign me up. Announced last summer with just a teaser trailer, we finally got some gameplay. Never stop, Platinum. Never stop moving forward. This gaming world would be empty without you guys and gals.

I know some people hated it but I liked the E3 trailer just being a massive fantasy history timeline. Glad to know its still being worked on.

Astral Chain took some strides in creating an actual world, instead of just corridors and empty lots that you fight enemies in, as is usually the case with Platinum, so we'll see how this new game does. I'm still expecting to not like due to it being Platinum though.

At the end of the day, these arcade style brawlers with heavy emphasis on combat. So interaction with non-threatening NPCs isn't exactly a requirement. I prefer it that way. Astral Chain does a decent job with, but the detective stuff gets repetitive on repeat playthroughs. Luckily, they're not a requirement on NG+

Besides, did you forget Nier: Automata exists. I know it's a post-apocalypse, but it still counts. Also, games like Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, and Mad World have fully realized worlds, corridors or not. If you want something similar to Astral Chain in terms of downtime and interacting with other characters, there's the Yakuza games and Fist of the North: Lost Paradise.

Not feeling it to be honest; I think it's because there's a lack of Platinum's trademark flair like with Bayonetta, Vanquish, Astral Chain, and Metal Gear Rising.
