only problem i think i heard about Bastion is that you had to move with WASD, where diagonally-styled QWAS would have been more appropriate, maybe, the way the maps are. Because off them being terrible and falling off ledges on corners.

Um why don't you go look up the system requirements. Honestly the game doesn't need anything that strong anyway but since it is on Steam you could just buy it now and load it up on your new laptop then if you really can't run it now which I seriously doubt.

Yeah, Bastion is a pretty mandatory game to...just about anyone that enjoys good games. The story and story telling are godlike, and the gameplay is quite exquisite to boot.

That's £5.74 or 6 Euros if you live in Europe.

Only problem with that is if he can't run Bastion OnLive may not want to work. I tried it myself and my OS, Windows XP, wasn't able to work with it.

There is a Demo though so @neonsword13-ops give it a shot.

I did. I spent some time this morning setting up the support for my PS3 controller and am really looking forward to playing it when I get back from class later.

As a side note, you might want to leave v-sync on. I know people normally don't like to use it, but it really improves the experience, at least for me. Very solid 30 fps at 1920x1080 resolution. Turning it off results in tearing. Maybe it's a console-port thing?

Neat! I already have it though. Definitely a great game, and worth the money.

Be sure to get the Soundtrack edition if you can since the game has a beautiful soundtrack.

Tried it a few hours ago. Quite promising, though the PC controls take some getting used to (at least if you don't usually play such games, I guess). Combat's a bit iffy, too, but maybe that'll change as I get better.
No regrets on the purchase though. Great music and art direction, and the narration has got to be the sexiest thing in non-adult media.
