Why wasn't this at the Microsoft showcase?! It looks better than the previous build. Faster, more responsive, and smoother. I still dislike the art style. Why couldn't they just model it after Super Battletoads/Arcade Game (1994). Also, "DEY MASSACRED MAI GURL" Dark Queen. She looks way too safe and conservative. It's one of the reason guys (and certain gals for that matter) play Battletoads.

Watching the trailer, I can't help but feel there's a whole bunch of Battletoads lore I missed out on. 0_0

Anyway, I'm glad that this exists, if only because it shows Rare can still make singleplayer games still, even after their pivots from Kinect stuff to live service stuff. Now if only they had some other IPs they could draw from...

If the hover bike level doesn't require split second timing and multiple attempts to memorize the one hit kill obstacles then this game sucks.

Other than that, it looks good. Shame its on Xbox only, so I'll never get to play it.

I’m really digging the animation but I hope the whole game doesn’t use that washed out looking color palette during gameplay. Like it would be cool if there were options to make these new toads really pop visually and make a statement! How about cell shaded, or 8 bit, or that cool retro Rareware prerendering technique from SNES days. Maybe on PC with mods.

Uhhhh...I don't have XBONE. I know the game's out on Steam, but I am not sure if my laptop can run it. Granted, it can handle The TakeOver and Fight N Rage just fine for the most part. Worst case scenario I'll go over to my brother's place if he is interested. He's got an XBONE and recently got a gaming laptop a couple of months ago.

Wow that gameplay looks bad. I couldn't tell what the fuck was going on, who was taking damage from what move when. Also point of order for side-scrolling beat 'em ups; keep the character models consistent. Its really hard to tell where an attack is going to land if your super move makes you 2-3 times as large as normal, thus putting you on a different attack plane.

I can't keep up with every single brawler. I'll see what I can do, but I am not going to force it. I got my own catching up with others games to do. I appreciate your encouragement. So far, most of the buzz is positive. If you got Game Pass you can get it for cheap/free. I know my brother does so I gonna make a call see how he feels.
