I actually don't mind the group he is with I think its kinda nice it shows how hes growing to become more than a murderous being and he cares and has things worth protecting now and he has sorta become a father figure to alot of them its beautiful. Sure its not the same as before but its real character development. Also the current ark I think is mostly to show what femto has done to the world by mixing everything together and just how bad things can get.
