This might seem random but last week i had a urge to just mash some buttons in a game! asked my friend for a random button masher and he lent me X men origins wolverine... not at all the most amazing game, and clearly has very little difficulty but damm i enjoyed the button mash!! Made we think of the other games i just mashed the buttons to... could only think of Street Fighter 2 on the SNES that i really played alot though!

I know its not to everyones taste but we have all played a game where we have sat there and mashed (does that sound wrong :O)..so whats your fav?

King Of fighters (insert year here) in my opinion one of the most entertaining button mash secessions i had. The game itself i don't believe is a button masher but i still mashed them and got some spectacular output of moves

That was going to be my suggestion. RUN FROM LU BU!

There's also a Dynasty Warriors: Gundam game. It's the same as the others, except with giant robots.

Kingdom Hearts could count under this. Certainly the second one.
There's alternative options but nothing beats good old button mashing.

Play a FPS, but instead of holding down the trigger to shoot, press the button for each shot instead. There, a button masher!

Since I have neither the attention span nor the patience to learn and perfect every character's moves, pretty much all fighting games I play turn into a button spam sandvich.

What do you mean by "Button mashing"? Most of the people that I know who play Kingdom Hearts mash on the attack button relentlessly, but I don't. I took the time to learn Glide, Quick Run, etc. and made Sephiroth into my little plaything. Granted, this was on a reduced difficulty, but everyone else had tons of trouble on the same difficulty. Smash Bros., too. Most of my friends, bar, maybe, 3, mash on the A button, except during aerial combat and recovery, where Up, X or Y is necessary.

Hate them all. Button mashing brings me no happiness.

EXEPTION TO THE RULE: JRPG'S: "Because there's nothing like pressing left and a all day on a six by six grid"

Any game in the Devil May Cry series (except DMC 2) is pretty good for button-mashing. At least at the easy and normal difficulty settings; if you want to go up to Hard and above (particularly with 1 and 3) you need a bit more finesse than button mashing affords because you can't take nearly as much damage.

The Dynasty Warriors games seem to be all button mashing, which is really why I never got into them. They're just so insipid. Here are a billion enemy soldiers in a huge, dull environment. They can take very little damage and have maybe two attacks each. Now go out and kill every last one of them and you win. Not to dis on anyone who likes those games, but the bit of Dynasty Warriors I actually played felt more like scrubbing floors to me than an actual game.

Then again, I get a genuine kick out of micromanaging my equipment in Mass Effect so... yeah.

smash bros is a definate one aswell.. i guess i mean the fact that not much skill is required and just mashing the buttons will get you through the game! IE like dynasty warriors.. you end up doing the skills and such anyways just from a good button mash!
