Ok so, I have a plan for an RPG, but have no idea what engine to develop it on.
It would be a 3D RPG similar to Silent Hill, with an importance on the usage of shadow and sound.
Menu-wise it doesn't have much deviance from traditional RPG requirements. Game play wise, it'd be 3rd person, with some specialized character tasks changing the perspective and switching to a different style of game play such as puzzle. Most of the game takes place in a 3rd person view with two separate groups of characters that should be able to change out with each other like in Sweet Home. The graphics themselves are going to be more manga-esque, and so the textures won't be such a big deal. Audio design and shadowing, however would be fairly important since this is a scary experience.
I have concept art in development with a script in progress and I'll be making a demo in RPG maker to show off some the game play and design ideas.
Any advice?
