Best games with minimal usage of the mouse? (Laptop with trackpad)

I have a laptop, with a trackpad on it. While I can use the "mouse", I can't do it with nearly enough accuracy for an FPS or anything. I'd like to hear suggestions of good games that can be played well with a trackpad. Anyone?

Any top-down RTS should play well enough. I play Age of Empires II on my laptop all the time.

hmm, for Indie games, the list is endless, but for big-time games, i would say WoW, or possibly Fallout 3, depending on how good of a laptop you have.

Uh. I think Black and White actually benefits from touchpad, as it's easier to cast spells using a touchpad.

Neverwinter Nights is the best game on my laptop. It runs smoothly and doesn't require much speed. There is a pause in case you need to freeze. Same goes for KotOR - battles have active pause, are turn-based and you can avoid some of them.

Emulators are also very good. Just remap the controls, as most of the machines block on a bad configuration (you can't move your character, for example, if you use WSAD to move).

Every 2D platformer. Jazz Jackrabbit is awesome, so is its sequel.

Adventure games without fast actions. Sam and Max games for example, The Longest Journey, Syberia 1 and 2 (beautiful games, both graphically and story-wise).


Uh. What more? Fallouts, Duke Nukem Manhattan Project, Arcade America.

Quite a lot of games can be played on a laptop without the usage of a mouse.

Trackmania Nations (racing game, no powerups, simple controls of accelerate, brake and turn, really cool smooth game physics that make it great fun to drive)

Although it still requires the trackpad, I always have a Civilization game installed on my laptop. Being turn-based is perfect when you're switching between a few minutes to kill, and epic evening-long binges.

doom series if you really need that fps fix - also just buy a mouse - and im also on a laptop, so I should have like several answers for you- let me bookmark this page and come back when Im thinking more straight

edit: google zdoom, its a mod that helps with compatibality OR you can play doom via newgrounds (but only the shareware version)

I actually play EvE online ALOT with a trackpad, which is fine for the most part.

Other games which I play without a mouse with ARE:

AI war: Fleet Commander (its on steam, its an indie rts- very good)
Planescape/Baldurs Gate type games (they have a pause option for tricky bits)
Knights of the Old Republic (very easy with a trackpad)
Point and click games
Peggle!
Some other RTS games are fine, if theyre slow paced
City building games , like Pharoah, or Caesar III
FF7 + 8 are fine with a trackpad, but you have to mod them considerable to get em running
AAAaaAAAaaaAAaaaAA! A reckless regard for gravity (although its not easy with the trackpad)

Thats all I can think of right now- and the above are all things Ive played with my laptop and
shock n horror- Im on a Macbook- which means one mouse button, unless you put two fingers on the trackpad and then click!

Obviously I'm running windows from bootcamp before anyone screams.

Most of the time, you can play any game on a laptop that isnt an FPS, once you get good at using it in games

As for puzzle games with wonderful gameplay, I say Braid. It requires no mouse to use and its fun to go all Prince-of-Persia-like in terms of rewinding time.

You know I really have tried all that- using pillows I think is easiest- but when it comes to FPSs I would just get so annoyed that I'd end up getting outta bed at like 2am to pwn some people before I could sleep; but KOTOR is just awesome that I can play it anywhere without a mouse!
