The first time seeing Rapture from the bathysphere.
The first time the enemy charged my scottish lancers with his cavalry, and got all skewered in Medieval 2.
In Arcanum i did a sidequest as a gnome gentleman, which was about where half ogres came from. A conspiracy theorist suggested to me, it must be the gnomes doing, because if i notice they all walk around with some half ogre bodyguards. I looked at my team and there were two of three of my party members were half ogres.
The first time i got out to the open in Oblivion.

Mechwarrior 2 taking damage, getting notifications of the damage, overheating, aborting shutdown... at the time it was panic overwhelming.
Homeworld 1 - the first time you see the Bentusi
World Of Warcraft - early days, first group through Stranglethorn Vale - best pvp week ive had.
Armored Core 4 - "Desert Wolf" mission (the enemy your fighting is a hero of his people and is asking you stuff like "What are *you* fighting for?" during the combat)
Unreal 1 - right near the beginning where you can jump off that HUGE cliff into the water. Gave me chills falling that far in a video game.
the aeris dies moment imo almost doesnt count, since that was a cinimatic - to me a great gaming moment happens while your gaming, not as a cutscene. But it was pretty awesome, and i did say the bentusi cinimatic was one of my favorite, so it gets a nod.
