If they never release it then it sounds like Bethesda may have to to be put on the "low priority" list for companies to buy from if their going to start pulling this crap.

......... Dammit... The hell is going on at Bethesda studios? I swear, knowing how well this has been turning out, this is going to be a fucking cycle continuing on in the next batch of DLC they have lined up for Skyrim.

I'm sure there isn't anything to worry about. Dawnguard has bugs. We should be relieved they are taking the extra time to make sure their product works before they release it... unlike pretty much anything Bethesda has ever released in the past.
I think you're right. They've certainly got a monetary incentive to release it on the PC/PS3 now that the exclusivity period has expired. In their eyes it's probably better to avoid announcing anything until all the kinks are worked out then to keep pushing back an official release date.
That's weird. I didn't know that. I guess Bethesda aren't too keen on the PS3 then. Do they even have a GOTY edition on PS3?

Bethesda has really terrible PR. You have to be daft in the head to write "We have not announced release plans for Dawnguard on platforms other than Xbox 360 (available worldwide). As soon as there's any new information to share, we'll let everyone know." and not think it's going to cause problems. Would it be that difficult to give a date? An estimate? An approximation? Hell even a magic eight ball would be more definitive than Beth PR.
Well, They did give you an estimate of when it will be released: Never.

"We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news. If we have news, I promise I'd tell you."
Could easily translate to:
Both of our long term plans do not include announcing plans to release the Dawnguard DLC for other platforms... And if your long term plans do not include even announcing the intent for porting the software it's unlikely that anytime in the foreseeable future we'll be seeing it playable on PC or PS3

Funny. Valve says their going to release 3 episodic games following half life 2, and 4 years later and still waiting on episode 3="aw don't worry about it Valve, we know your just doing the best you can and totally not wasting everyone's time or anything"

Bethesda says they don't have a release date set for their first expansion for PC or PS3="Bethesda's the worst company in the world, they don't care about their customers, they just want to screw us over because they find it funny or something!"

That is just a marketing trick, pay no attention to it.

Watch the South Park Episode "Cartmanland" to have it explained to you.
They tell you "You can't get it", so that you want it more and will pay full price when it releases.

Hahaha indeed.

The very fact that you behave and operate in such a shady manor Bethesda is enough to make folks wary. To say they treat their customers like children is truly an understatement.

Well until they spend time on DLC bug-hunt (to release it on PC and PS3 with less issues) instead of working on that worthless MMORPG, I'm ok with waiting a bit more

On the side note- does Microsoft realize that most PC games are being played on Windows OS?
It is their subplatform for God's sake.
In that case why does PC crowd is being treated so poorly from MS?
Or loosing money on every console sold, is a better financial strategy?

I have no idea who you are quoting about Valve, because I have never heard that. Even I get annoyed somedays that Valve have no information about episode 3, but I have never heard anyone not upset about it. I understand you are exaggeration(I hope), but really. Stop pointlessly hating.

Thank God I have both The PC version and the XBOX 360 version or I would be pissed, seriously I own A PS3,360 and a PC gaming rig and I still hate timed DLC's.
I was okay with the announcement of the 30 day timed DLC but anything that goes over 30 days goes from irritating to bullshit for me.

Whatever.

After playing through maybe 10% of the good mods out for skyrim on PC, i'm thoroughly convinced that Bethesda can go fuck themselves.

If a bunch of bloody teenagers can correctly fix an entire studios problems in the spare time they have between homework and fapping, and THEN go ahead and add literally triple the standard content, what in the hell is that studio doing?

I don't even care what Bethesda do any more. Work on the engine. Make it just good enough, slap some textures on it and hire big, expensive voice actors and under use them, then release it like you always do.
The PC community will fix it and twist it until it barely resembles the original product, in the process becoming a genuinely good game. Because apparently the Bethesda studio is full of retarded monkeys slapping a keyboard while wearing MS shirts and trying to eat their 5th solid gold banana.

That's sweet you think Bethesda is going to bother to fix bugs for release on other systems.

These timed exclusives had me annoyed from the very start. By the time they became available, I've repeatedly forgotten all about them, and even lost quite a bit of interest. Doesn't really seem to be a sensible strategy to me.

Maybe there is some reason beyond contracts and money. I sure don't see any, as it's not an online title, so the servers aren't theirs but Sony's and Valve's.

Not sure how these deals pay out for the parties involved. I've had my fun with Skyrim, and I'll only pick it up again once Dawnguard is available for PC.

I can easily wait another month if I must, however I find the fact that they haven't released it since the XBox 360 exclusivity ended or even announced it absolutely disgusting. A lot of gamers have waited patiently for their port of Dawnguard to come out and then Bethesda just slaps them in the face? That ain't right.
