The HHS Thursday froze the former Trump administration’s December drug policy that requires community health centers to pass on all their insulin and epinephrine discount savings to patients.

The latter. The Biden administration announced it was going to pause all of Trump's healthcare and last minute regulations that they believed may be ineffective or potentially illegal until they can check them out.

Just FYI, the general belief is that Trump's insulin rule was grotesquely overhyped: at best it would benefit fewer than half of diabetics, and the cost savings for those patients would be nothing like as big as claimed. In particular, many health centres claim they already pass these cost savings onto patients - if true, this means this accomplishes very little except more red tape.

I think it may have been better if they continued the program tilt they found an alternative or enough evidence that it hindered to cancel it

If we had the government decide to produce generic insulin it would save hundreds of lives every year and improve the lives of millions. Wouldn’t even have to make it free.
