Let's here your biggest shenanigan moment, because, i uh can't think of one right now. But I wanna hear your opinion.

Edit: Certainly, the ending of Fable 2.

You should probably define shenanigans.

I assume you mean anytime a game does something absolutely ridiculous (whether by AI, plot or game engine).

I would have to say how System Shock 2 teleports more enemies into a level to force you to move on. It gets seriously annoying.

IT's not The Game doing that.

I dunno - how about every single game where you defeat the ultimate "bad guy" in single combat mid way through the game only to have a cut scene showing your character showing your character somehow knocked down so there can be a dramatic story twist. Often, this results in the death/capture of a major character.

*cough*Mass Effect*cough*

Shenanigans? I calls them on Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders. From the midst of an epic battle(mix of RTS and Hack 'n' Slash), some gigantic monster appears and begins sucking EVERYTHING - orcs, trolls, humans, catapults, what have you - into it, spawning miniature versions of itself.

Fable 2, the ending. No final boss fight which is retarded, I think I will go ahead and play fable 1 now.

Erm, perhaps you should have *spoilerd* that, matt?

The whole of Tomb Raider: Underworld is a shenanigan. So many glitches.

Fable 2, you beat Lucien with a bloody music box what the hell.
Erm it's kind of justified since it's a magical artifact in a world filled with magic that grants wishes.

FOREVER This!

...Ahem.

Also, my biggest gripe would be the way that the A.I. in most fighting games can blow off extreme "massive damage" combos that not even a fifteen year old Korean boy hopped up on Pixy Stix and Red Bull could manage, and you can never seem to break them.

The point in games where you fight the ultimate badass guy halfway way though and your easyily creaming him till your told "Flee he is to powerful for you!" You then fight him again at the end of the game and cream him again. Knihgts of the old republic does this thoughout the entire series. repeatedly. Calo Nord, darth Malak, bastards.
Why cant i kill him now?

I call shenanigans on most racing games in general, where you are near completing a perfect run and the A.I. dudes you blew up / ran off the road / generally outl33ted tear around the last corner to give you a serious run for your money in the final stretch. Every time.

Makes for some good entertainment, but most definitely shenaniganized entertainment as well.

Assassin's Creed when you have to kill Robert du Sable (not sure what the spoiler box code is so I won't digress, if anyone is interested to know then please PM me, unless you already know.).

Any one on one I have with my friend on Halo or Call of Duty 4 usually has some bullshit happen.

On Gears 2 where I can shoot an enemy with a shotgun close range 2 or 3 times just to DOWN them, and the enemy can leap over a wall, shoot once and I explode. That and anything involving the chainsaw seems to glitch with me.

In SSBB whenever I play against 3 bots all of them follow me continously, or when I am in the middle of hitting someone in the air and I suddenly hit the ground and take a large percentage of damage, and I never know what happened. That and the fact that the game was delayed and didn't offer anywhere near as much enjoyment as melee.

Most of DOOM's monster filled rooms, or its bullshit tendancy to spawn enemies behind me out of nowhere.

Terriost hunt in Rainbow six vegas has always been random cheap crap.

All of ikaruga.

In Fallout 3 where I was being sniped by SMGs wielded by raiders only to run over there and trip an invisible mine. Afterwords I went up the road just to be attacked by two centaurs followed shortly by a mirelurk. Going back down the road since I wanted to leave I heard gunshots and saw a Deathclaw make short work of about 3 armed people. I was fucking level 3 at the time.

Every moment of veteran in CoD WaW.

Every boss fight in Spiderman 3.

All of the final rushes in Left 4 Dead.

All of these have ruined their respective games, but I have to say the one that struck me as overwhelming bullshit was the fallout 3 one.

Using Sub-Zero's ice move twice in any Mortal Kombat and getting frozen yourself.
Well I think they deserve it if they try to spam a move. Although it is true...seeing that happen is hilarious.

Trauma Center Second Opinion:

In Trauma Center: Second Opinion when you have to disarm the bomb. You reach random glowing panels and you must laser the panels not lighted up. When you're halfway through blasting a lighted up panel and then it changes to lighted up.

Also in Twisted Metal 2: World Tour when you're in Antarctica and the platform starts to break and you realize that it is the last one in the area leaving you trapped.
