I think the rating system needs to be more clear then just random letters that parents are supposed to be able to understand. That said i dont think the rating system makes any sense at all. Here is a good example of rating stupidity.The Resident evil degeneration dvd (the random animated resident evil movie that wasnt very good)was delayed because it had to be re-reated because a trailer in the bonus features had a higher rating then the film. seriously WTF. Oh im in new zealand BTW.

It sounds like game developers are just now more worried about generating controversy that could harm sales, all because one of the games that contain 'questionable content' was aimed at anyone younger than an adult...

I've been thinking this for awhile, ever since I learned that Halo is M rated...

Why?

I've never really noticed any swearing... sure there are some monsters but it's no worse than Star Wars...

Don't get it...

Because the people who assign ratings to games are utterly insane in ways that we can't begin to fathom and it's best not to dwell on such things.

Seriously, this is the second most ridiculous thing I've heard since the quote, "[They] don't have the potential to be exploited every year on every platform with clear sequel potential."
