So as there are already threads discussing the ending and first impressions. I hoping to discuss the minor things in the game that you enjoyed. I have finished it but try not to spoil anything so please use spoiler tags.

For me there were a number of just details that characters did that made it the game feel more alive.
1. Booker would sometimes interact with a random NPC if you walked up to them which may initiate a short conversation.
2. The conversations that you heard from groups of NPC.
3. The fact that not everyone is out to get you (unlike Bioshock) the regions where you can walk around and see the life of Columbia.
4. Elizabeth interacted with the world and did not just stand behind you, she would sit on sofas, lean against the wall, inspect desks and items and in combat when she took cover and scavenged supplies was just great one point she tossed me a med-kit when my health bar was practically nothing.

Anyone found something they enjoyed that made the game feel that little more interesting?

Also the games at the fair in the first level were fun.

The old timey versions of modern songs :D

When I was on the beach and heard 'Girls just wanna have fun', I really started to think, 'okay, this isn't all what it seems to be, there's something else going on here', was of course confirmed later in the game :D

Guess I should spoiler this...

later on in the game where the VOX are in full revolt, they capture motorized patriots and put red canvas on their back in place of the American flag, and take off the Washington heads and slap a Lincoln head on there. Little details like that help make the game, and there are details like that every 10 minutes it seemed.

The barbershop quartet singing the Beach Boys songs is what clued me into that :D

Anyone else notice that when you performed an execution with the skyhook, or did a certain kill with a vigor there was a jarring *ping* noise? Like someone slamming down a high key note on a piano? That was amazing.

Robert and Rosalind Lutece's dialogue. I suppose you could say it isn't a little thing since they are important characters, but they didn't need to have them at certain points in the game and I just love them. Favorite characters, hands down.

I have to agree with you they were just brilliant.

I'll second that. They did an excellent job making her interact with the environment, joining dances with others, saying "hi!" to a shopkeeper who responds with a gruff "yeah yeah, shut up and buy something". She's a lot less "rubber-bandy" then most companion AI, she'll wander around on her own talking to people or look at things.

I just started playing the game and the shotgun game keeps getting stuck, forcing me to restart my last checkpoint. Did it 3 times already, then quit in frustration. Come the fuck on, are they serious?

Really it worked fine for me on my 360 version. They are essentially just little practice tutorials and the prizes are definitely not worth the trouble your having if it keeps getting stuck.

I'd say the NPC dialogue was an excellent touch, very little repetition, and a mixture between having their own personal discussions and talking to you.

Elizabeth's interactions were brilliant as well. I was exploring a room scrounging for items, turn around and she is sitting on the sofa (couch). I wasn't sure if there was a reason for it at first, but when I went to leave she got up and followed.

They definitely put a lot of effort into making the world feel real.
