BioWare Gives Out Dragon Age: Inquisition's Tavern Songs For Free

From now until February 10, you can download a full album's worth of Dragon Age: Inquisition's tavern songs for free.

One of the best-done parts of for free [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/dragon%20age%20inquisition?os=dragon+age+inquisition].

The offer lasts until February 9, and includes the ten songs that randomly play in the in-game tavern. As an added bonus, for any aspiring musicians, the sheet music for all of the songs is also included.

"As our way of saying thank you for being the awesome community that you are, we're excited to announce that for the next two weeks, you can download these songs from a desktop computer free of charge!"

After the two-week free period, the songs will make their way to various digital distribution platforms, for a price. It's worth noting that these songs are not included on the official Dragon Age: Inquisition soundtrack [http://www.dragonage.com/en_US/media/soundtrack], which was included in special editions of the game.

I don't really have anything else to say about this except hey, free stuff! Go get it!

This is just plain awesome. I was worried for awhile that they weren't going to make the tavern songs available at all. Now that they have I plan on downloading them now and I plan on purchasing them too to help support the artist and Bioware.

Maybe someone thinks they won't notice or maybe it's just because Ubisoft is the new EA?

I'm still sore over getting the shaft so hard from EA/Bioware in the past, but this move on top of how good DA:I was, is certainly not hurting our relationship. Don't hurt me again EA, I'm a spiteful bastard. I might not come back again.

Why is it that when Ubisoft does something, it's Ubisoft (rather than Ubisoft-Montreal, etc) but when EA does something, media attributes it to Bioware?

Nice gesture, and smart of them. Folks who pre-ordered wouldn't be happy at having to pay to get the rest of the soundtrack, and it builds some goodwill after the plague of launch bugs.
