Aion isn't the "black sheep", as there are many MMORPGs that are high-end graphically and gameplay wise. Lord of the Rings Online can run on low, sure, but it also can run DirX10 and be graphically gorgeous on a gaming PC. Age of Conan practically needs a supped up gaming PC to run it and it runs DirX10 as well, although it doesn't run well on low settings unlike LotRO.Sevre90210 said:This...isn't surprising.
MMOGs really only work on the PC, but hold on Funk! There's no need for a gaming PC! MMOGs are designed to run on low spec to mid range PCs, with Aion being the black sheep! I doubt TOR will be much different so as long as you have any decent rig I'm sure you'll be able to run it.

As far as we know, a price model hasn't been announced. But MMOGs are extremely, extremely expensive to run, hence the subscription model being pretty standardized.archvile93 said:Eh, I don't care. I'll start to when they tell me the game won't milk me for all I'm worth by making me pay to keep playing it despite the fact I already bought it.
I'm willing to bet Blizzard pockets eighty percent of the subsciption fees for WoW as profit. Most likely every other company does the same.John Funk said:Tamminga said:Does annyone know for sure if TOR will have monthly fees like WoW or if you only have to pay once like with the Guild Wars series. As far as we know, a price model hasn't been announced. Exactly, at first I was pretty shocked but as I watched it develop and grow I became quite fond of the idea (And actual happening) of SW: ToRpsrdirector said:ahh, so way way back when when they said they were working on a new game in the Kotor universe but before ToR was actually announcedProject .hack said:Sorry should have worded it better, I meant in the sense of it becoming an MMO instead of another console game like most people thought it would become after the second KOTOR, before it being an MMO was announced.psrdirector said:what do you mean became? Tor has always been an MMO since it was first announced.Project .hack said:I'm kind of glad in a way it became an MMO, but monthly subscriptions hurts us.
