As did mass Effect. pity it never happened. it had such potantial.
They did put out that 3rd person shooter to tide fans over while they worked on a sequel, though.
Oh god... that game? Don't even remind me of it. I'm amazed I even finished it. I will never be playing that again.
Biggest waste of $120 on a collector's edition ever. And it pissed so many Mass Effect fans off.
Just catering to the black ops crowd.

I really didn't care for Jade Empire. Just because of the theme or story or setting or whatever you want to call it. The whole medievil martial arts thing just turned me off. I never really invested enough time into it to make any more judgements than that. I know silly reason to dislike a game but I couldn't get past it.

Loved all the rest of their games I played.
Dragon Age is medieval. Jade Empire was... well, Chinese.
Chinese medievil times is what I meant.I guess the best way to put this is the mythology didn't interest me. And infact turned me off of it.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
My head feels like it's about to explode from the mere suggestion that Mass Effect deserved but did not get a sequel.

I'm ok now, I can see the box from here, my head is returning to normal.
Please don't mess with my head like that, I didn't think it was possible.

OT: I love Bioware games like a ... a ... a slut would be the best way to describe it, while I do not buy every title they make from launch day, I will eventually end up with a copy of the game, as it stands I have NeverWinter Nights Diamond, Jade Empire, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate edition.
I picked up the Baulders gate games in the charity shop I work in but haven't played them yet, so basically the only games by bioware I don't own are Shattered Steel, MDK2 (which is being released in HD on the PC this year apparently) and Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood which I probably wont touch.

So yeah the next step in my clear and blatant obsession would be to build a shrine, but that'd take actual effort on my part so I'll stick to this level for now. Also I should work on like... actually completing all of their games before I upgrade to mental ward level psychosis. I never finished NWN 1 but got close, I also never got to finish NWN 2 as my father decided that his mate would like it and as such I never saw it again, I got stuck on the ghost temple after the plot twist in jade empire and forgot to finish it, I'm still playing through DA:O and I was blitzed when I played KotOR so I have no idea if I finished it or not. I suck at being a fanboy.

Never played Jade Empire.

I loved the Baldur's gate series, and Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn remains my favourite RPG (and equal favourite game) to this day.

Never played Neverwinter nights.

Dragon Age: Origins should be arriving any day now though, and I look forward to it! Yes, I know I'm a little behind, but I haven't had the time, nor the money, to buy it until now.

Jade Empire was my goto game for a very long time. I also loved Mass Effect, it's sequel and looking forward to the third.
The depth of chactors and the relationships you create in Bioware games is one of their strongest points.

Bioware is one of those rare companies that make games that I will always want to play. The first Bioware game that I played, or think I played, was the original Knights of the old republic. It, like many of Biowares games, was just an excellent and epic story and on occasion I still install it and play the heck out of it. I do the same with Jade empire, Mass effect, and Dragon age.

I will even go so far as to say I have yet to play a Bioware game that I thought was just medicore

I would love to see them do something with the cyberpunk and post apocolyptic genres but that may be a pipe dream

As far as jade empire goes. I really enjoyed the game, it was the first (only?) martial arts drama RPG I had played and Ive yet to play anything like it since.
Go look at the trailer for ME3, it looks like it might have some post-apocalyptic settings. Wherever the reapers go, it doesn't look like a pretty place to be

Never played Jade Empire, But KOTOR was the first Bioware game I played, and I loved it. Havnt played Mass Effect due to it being an Xbox exclusive, I played Dragon Age, which was amazing, and I plan to buy Mass Effect 3 on the Ps3. Over-all I think Bioware is one of the best game companies out there.
