Ugh. Couldn't they just make the whole game and then release it?

Bioware, fuck your-selves. Really go grab a penis pump and sodimise your-selves. Just put the DLC in the fucking game!

If anyone ever makes a game, then while making the game plans ,in advance, DLC. They should rot in a horrible place similar to hell. Because that's withholding content, then making people pay twice as much for the whole fucking game.
They could, however this has already been in the makes for a very long time and considering I can barely wait for it as it is, I'd rather have the DLC later and the game now, and yes I'm willing to pay the extra for DLC. This is for two reasons

1. Even without the DLC Dragon Age is going to be longer than many games I've paid full price for in the past
2. I'm willing to go the extra mile for Bioware because they make good games, and I support good game devs in my country

Assuming the development time is equal, sure - if you want to wait two more years for it :p
That assumption would be incorrect though, wouldn't it? Developers do not work at the same pace when pumping out DLC's as they do when they are actually making a game. The bulk of the work is done and they are mostly just playing around with their in-house editor's toolkits every once in a while, maybe call up someone for a new voiceover, and that's it. I strongly dislike this DLC trend to be honest. Especially in consoles. I am Greek you see, and our dear Microsoft does not support my country for Xbox live, because in their opinion Greeks still hang around the Acropolis wearing white tunics and talk about philosophy while drinking wine. This forces me to not only miss out on everything DLC-related, but to also buy a game that I am interested in twice, once on release and once a year or two later so I can play the DLC's. I won't even get into how overpriced they are.

Personally, I have to agree with Carnagath. Though luckily I don't have his problems with Microsoft due to the fact that I live in the United States, I still hate this DLC trend that's been going around. When I buy a game, I don't want to buy 15 pieces of DLC later in order to get the full experience; I want to get the full experience. Plus the fact that DLC is almost never integrated well into the game.

Oblivion did the exact same thing:
small downloads - houses
item packs - magic tomes
full quests - knights of the nine
a full expansion pack - the shivering isles

The only difference is that they're charging for the horse armour on day one.
