March 2011? Sh*t. That means I'll have to split my attention between this & SW:TOR. Fark. THE AGONY!!!
You're restricted to human. You can choose gender, first name, and most likely appearance(within reason, like the first game).Fappy said:The whole Hawke thing concerns me. I know the Mass Effect Trilogy formula has worked great so far (I personally love it), but I thought the Dragon Age franchise, at least the first few games, would be more personal and customizable. As long as we can determine our race and all that I'll be happy. Hawke is probably just going to be a last name or nickname so the NPCs have something to call us instead of saying "the Warden" all the damn time.
Where'd they say human only (not like I ever played the other two races much anyway though).s0denone said:You're restricted to human. I wouldn't hold my breath for customization in the same way as the first installment, I'm afraid.
Um, are you talking about that rumor ages ago about having a Ghoul background etc for Fallout: New Vegas? And that it would be similiar to DA:O in that way?Therumancer said:My major concern here is the whole bit about "you play a refugee named Hawke who rises to become the most important character in the Dragon Age World" or however that read.
See, one of the most ingenius aspects of "Dragon Age: Origins" that has actually been being imitated by games like "Fallout: New Vegas" was the multiple character backstories/origins and so on.
Probably when they got four studios: BioWare Edmonton, BioWare Austin, BioWare Mythic, and BioWare Montreal.Bigeyez said:So something just hit me. When the hell did Bioware become so massive that they can simultaneously work on whats possibly the largest (in terms of development size not the game itself) and expensive MMO ever created, Mass Effect 3, AND Dragon Age 2, not to mention whatever secret projects they might be working on that we don't know about??
Ahh. Never heard of Divine Divinity. I lost much of my interest in PC gaming after the industry slaughtered a few niche genres I liked and filled in the void with an endless parade of clone-shooters.s0denone said:To be fair, though, that has already been done. I mean, look at Divine Divinity II: Ego Draconis. It would basically be a remake of that.
I have faith that Bioware they will come through here, but I cannot take much more disappointment. I was let down by ME2, and there is no way I can keep being such a fool fanboy.
