Ugh, fucken annoying. I'm still working on Halo CE which just came out, plus Paladins has a new battlepass I need to get further in and next week Borderlands 3 comes out, then the week after Doom Eternal and Half Life Alyx then Resident Evil 3 remake. So this will probably have to wait.

Y'know, normally I'd agree with you, but it's VR, so...well, I'm prejudiced.

Best thing out of Alyx for me is that in interviews, the developers have said that they'd like to make more games in the Half-Life universe as a result of them returning to said universe. So maybe Valve will take off the headset, look at a numbers chart, and discover that the chart actually goes beyond 2.

watching footage it looks like on rail shooter with teleport. you cant move while shooting, typical VR game where hand floating in air.

Black Mesa on other hand shows that these fans are more passionate than valve themselves as Valve has been silent on series and then return just as VR spinoff. these guys done much better job.

You do realize that is one one movement option for Half Life Alyx. You can do the teleportation movement or you can do smooth movement. Some people get motion sick from the smooth movement so having the option is a good thing, plus teleportation movement can actually be more tense since it means you're kinda stuck to the spot and its harder to run away from enemies closing in.
