And if you think that 15 bucks for four multiplayer maps and some zombies is a tad ridiculous, consider this: Activision said that Call of Duty: Black Ops has already generated the highest-selling add-on content in Xbox Live history. So the next time you find yourself wondering why, that's why.
Yeah. That's what's the funny part. You will see forums filled with people raging about the price schemes and how the games are dumbed down or whatever..and then you look at the sales and surprisingly great majority is perfectly fine with that.

It would be idiotic move from any business to not set such schemes if people happily go along with it. Pretty sure bunch of those "vocal complainers" bought those things in the end anyway... to prove the point of course.

Lol Andy. I know you're heavily biased on this site but could you at least try to show some journalistic integrity from time to time?

Well, that was expected. Why not milk the cow? People will buy the map pack, and money will be made.
All i can do is hope that these maps will be awesome. But what are the odds of that happening? We'll see, either way.

So CoD BlOps complete now costs 99$....
okay its nothing compared to the sims3 complete (164$)
and railworks2 complete 1026,73$
You have a point there. Still looks like I'm going to have to throw another 15 bucks at Treyarch just because I'm too much in love with zombies...

It should be 'Lies, Lies and Libel', which is a good use of alliteration. Slander is word of mouth, libel is written. I have Law knowledge, your argument is invalid.

However, I am looking forward to this map pack!
Good for you Buzzkillington, you managed to ruin a Futurama reference.

On Topic: These map packs should be prices around $5. It is only about a months work for them (if not less) and at that price, instead of $15, they would guarantee that almost every CoD owner would buy them.

I am really tempted to buy this pack but at $15 for 4+1 maps I can't justify the purchase. They should sell zombies maps separately

So faking enthusiasm for another $15 collection of four multiplayer maps and some tired zombie nonsense would give me greater integrity in your eyes?

I just want to be clear on this because to be honest, I'm a little confused on the point.

"Activision brings oodles of content to its fanbase with Black Ops: Annihilation."?

Why doesn't Activision give us a competition? First person on the Escapist to actually sound interested in paying another $20 gets it free!

You could at least try a little harder to feign enthusiasm, Andy. The Activision/CoD bashing was a little too obvious.
Andy gave this news in the exact tone it deserved. $15 (AU$22) is a tad ridiculous.

Also, I'm absolutely dying to know what this "innovative gameplay" is. Do we get to shoot zombies with guns? Because that would just blow my mind...
$15USD is $15AUD. The exchange rates is at 0.98 or so.
But here in the mystical land of Oz, we pay at least 50% more for games. A new release title is on average $110.

With the last Zombie map, Call of the dead being a bit disappointing, they better find a way to improve it with celebratory's... Like putting Bill Murray into it...
