If each campaign is going to cost another 60$ I'm going to be very angry. A campaign and the whole multiplayer experience is worth 60$, a single campaign is not. I'm willing to pay around 30$ for each additional campaign, but even that's pushing it.
They will have stuff for MP too you know.

Are everyone on the Escapist poor or what? I couldn't care less if I have to pay 3x60$ at least I know I am getting polished quality.

Every big franchise or gaming company has it haters, may they be the anti-Nintendo crowd, or the anti-Blizzard crowd. From what I've been able to observe however the Escapist is largely vocalized in it's community by Valve fanboys and the in this case more important Relic fanboys. Relic fanboys all seem to hate Blizzard and whatever they do. I for one stopped paying attention to the whine and trash talking, if you love a game or a stream of games from one developer you're only compromising yourself and your taste if you take what haters say seriously.

If I ever meet a man who put down 60 dollars for Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty and felt like he didn't get ever penny of his money's worth, then I will be TRULY shocked.

Ok, fine. We're not paying 3 times for one game.

We're paying 3 times for one game and 3 different storys.

Actually, they said they won't be adding anything to the multiplayer for balance issues. :p They've also said they're gonna be priced as expansions, so whattayagonnado.

I don't like the game based solely on the fact that Blizzard post World of Warcraft made it, and stuff like this is just ammunition.

Not enough "stuff". I'm saying that the entire campaign and multiplayer experience is worth the 60$, "stuff" doesn't really add much to the overall worth.

That's not fair. At all. It's a quality game, I don't know why the existence of another game has to color your opinion of it.

Bloody hell, you're all a bunch of whining prats ('Cept those of you who aren't whining). A single campaign is not worth $60? Really? You're saying that multiplayer is worth thirty dollars?

Well, good for you. I'm glad that you've realised that after having no input into the game, having had none of your time taken up by developing said game, after not once being on their payroll in the past twelve years and not once being forced to buy this game that you get to have a massive say in what the final price of the game is.

I don't see the problem with this. Wings of Liberty was, by all accounts, awesome. It was a game that focused on the Terran story - a full game, judging from the sheer size of the campaign. Next up, we have a game that will focus on the Zerg story - A full game that focuses on the Zerg with an as-big or bigger campaign in it. And we have all that again when the Protoss game comes out.

Every game is standing up by itself as a full game. Blizzard have taken twelve years to develop this game; don't you think that maybe, just maybe, there might be $180 worth of content? You all seem convinced that the game will be the exact same as the original and thus only worth as much. If that's all, then why in God's name are you playing Starcraft 2? Go sit in the corner with your decade-old safety blanket.

Or you could accept that maybe this will actually be worth the three games it's coming as.

Just a quick thought.

What about those people who didn't want the Terran, but wanted the Zerg/Protoss?

From the brief osmosis of gameplay I've been getting, the Bio units have to target sacrifice, the Mech units simply work by attrition and the Psi units rely heavily on their Psi regenerators.

So effectively, the Mech units (Terrans) will be superior overall in that they need less micro-managing. Can anyone confirm/deny that hypothesis?

The hell are people complaining about? You're getting three games for the price of three games.

Do you verbally destroy anyone who dares make a trilogy?

I don't have to deal with it. You're the one who's not playing a fantastic game.

Sorry, I remember reading that somewhere and my sources seem to have dried up. Seems they're changing things on the multiplayer side, but the general sense is that it's going to be an expansion, and priced suchly. No way to confirm though.

I can understand not wanting to pack everything into one disk and messing things up. With how often things that are rushed end up being terrible I'm glad they thought this out and decided to take their time and do things right. Sure it's still three games to pay for but if said games are WORTH the extra money with how great they are you can't exactly complain too much.

YOU will be paying 3 times for a game. I played in beta and have no reason to actually buy it since I know the ending and its retarded. I'm also surprised Koei wasn't involved since nothing changed in Starcraft 2.
