Screw Christmas! What boxing day hauls did everyone pick up?

-i picked up a bunch of Marvel films on Blu-Ray
-South Park the Stick of Truth for 75% off on Nintendo eshop
-Broforce for 75% off on Nintendo Eshop
-The Jak & Daxter Collection for 65% off on the PS Plus store
-and i've got $65 left of JB Hifi vouchers which i'll probably use to pick up more digital game store cards while they're still discounted today.

I don't care much for mixed martial arts, but I'll tell you what I got for Xmas

-Nintendo Switch w/ Zelda Skyrim, and the ironically titled Untitled Goose Game
-Cooking classes to make my own pizza
-A hardwood salt dish
-Bluetooth hat with matching gloves
-Wallace and Grommet on Blueray
-Booze
-A character named after me by my sister in MechWarrior 5(which was amazing)

just used my Nintendo Eshop credit to buy Ori & the Blind Forest, Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, 12, 10 & 10-2.

never played a final fantasy before. what am i in for?

I may be in kind of a Christmas holding pattern. I got the expected gift cards from my brothers, that balance out the gift cards I got for them. But for the first time in a while, I really don't have any game (or accessories or whatever) I want to buy. Still not sure what I'll get. I guess I could put it together with my bonus from work towards an upgrade... or I could if my bonus this year wasn't a hat with our company logo on it.

there hasn't been much announced for 2020 yet so i don't have much on pre-order and the ones i already have on pre-order i've paid off full with my in store credit.

there hasn't really been anything i've been holding out anxiously for so since i got vouchers for xmas i just used them to take advantage of buying game's i've always had an interest them but were too expensive to justify buying.

the final fantasy and Jak and daxters games fall under that type of category for me. all those were like 10 games all heavily marked down so i was able to justify finally getting them.

as for South Park, i already owned Stick of Truth on Xbox One but i haven't plugged my xbox in in ages so i never bothered to finish it. buying Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole on the Switch both at 75% will be great because i'll now have both games, hut i'll also be able to take them on the go with me everywhere which i couldn't do with my Xbox or PS4.

One thing to know about 8 is that since it uses Oblivion-style level scaling, you want to avoid getting experience as much as possible. Most of your power is going to come from Guardian Forces, so you want to boost those while not getting EXP from enemies you turn into cards or the like.

I don't know specifics, it's been a while since I played, but there's guides online for handling that stuff. None of the others have that problem, though. 9 and 10 are my favorites from that list, but 7's good as well.

Seriously, That's a question worth it's own thread, since every game tends to be different outside of certain core mechanics and motifs. 7 and 9 are more like each other gameplay-wise then they are to 8 and 10(and 10-2 which is different then 10).

I'm shocked, though. I thought you didn't like games where the title is clearly wrong.

As for me, tossing up between a Switch Pro controller OR enough Origin credit to buy Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on PC.
