Brink and Hunted Get Launch Dates

Hunted: The Demon's Forge [http://www.amazon.com/Brink-Xbox-360/dp/B002DC8GKE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296144377&sr=8-1], the other half of Bethesda's 2011 lineup, finally have release dates.

2011 is shaping up to be a big year for id Software [http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCMQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bethsoft.com%2F&rct=j&q=bethesda%20softworks&ei=aZhBTea6MIH58Abz4eGVAg&usg=AFQjCNGYd8ghPXih1szkDKJK943opBtJRg&cad=rja], will turn up in North America on September 13 and hit European shores on September 16. And now the other two pieces of the puzzle have fallen into place, as Brink has been announced for May 17 in North America and May 20 in Europe and Hunted: The Demon's Forge is slated for June 1 and June 3.

It's not unreasonable to say that Brink and Hunted are the supporting characters in a cast dominated by a new id shooter and a new Elder Scrolls RPG, but both games look pretty sexy in their own right. Brink is a fast-paced, multiplayer-focused shooter centered around the struggle for a Utopian city on the verge of collapse, while Hunted is a "fantasy action game" blending dungeon-crawl adventure with shooter intensity and which to my untrained eye evokes a very strong Dark Messiah of Might and Magic [http://www.amazon.com/Dark-Messiah-Might-Magic-Pc/dp/B000FSQD9Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296144624&sr=8-1] vibe.

"We are particularly excited to present such a diverse lineup of high quality titles," said Bethesda Softworks President Vlatko Andonov. "2011 will be a great year for gamers."

All four games are being released for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. To learn more about Bethsoft's big year, check out elderscrolls.com [http://www.brinkthegame.com/].

I'm quite looking forward to Brink, although there is one big thing that I don't quite get:

Whenever you watch gameplay videos, the characters move SO slowly, and look unbelievably sluggish, yet they have the SMART system to let you hop and slider over and under stuff. It's just very odd.

I was curious when the release date for Brink would land and May is actually a really good time. Now hopefully they decide to do some kind of beta so I can figure out if it is really something I want to get right away or if I should wait a while.

I thought about Brink the other day and wondered whatever happened to it, haven't heard anything about it in a while. Now i'm not that much into shooters but DAMN that game looks sexy.

Damn cool I thought brink would be in September or November. Can't wait.
YES!! We finally have a release date for Brink!! I would say that Brink is the star, and Skyrim and Rage are supporting characters. Considering that The Elder Scrolls is a beloved, established franchise, that says a lot about how much we are looking forward to Brink.

Look at all the posts on this page. Almost every damn one of them is about Brink. Brink is the star here. I think that says a lot about just how annoyed we are at being stopped on our tracks by obstacles that are only 6 inches high. That said, thank you so much for posting this Andy, this is great news!! :)

Actually, looks like most people want Skyrim. So I think you are right. I admit that and I apologize.
