Bulletstorm Soundtrack Goes Free

Epic Games is giving away the full and very impressive Bulletstorm [http://www.amazon.com/Bulletstorm-Pc/dp/B003H0CBT8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1302796580&sr=8-3] soundtrack absolutely free.

If you're a fan of Bulletstorm, or if you like videogame music in general, you'll definitely want to check this out. It's the full soundtrack from the hit shooter, 24 tracks of pounding, orchestral, 320kbps awesomeness, and it's all yours.

"They call it a blood symphony for a reason," Epic wrote. "If you love Bulletstorm like we do, you'll have noticed the awesome soundtrack. And since our fans are pretty much the best in the whole universe - space pirates included - we thought we'd provide a free download of the Bulletstorm soundtrack in all its glory. That's right. Free. No skillshots required. You're welcome."

The soundtrack was composed by Axel - Wielka Ucieczka [http://www.wierza.com/#home].

And the fact is, it's quality stuff. I could definitely see offing copious quantities of guys while this plays in the background, but it's also quite listenable on its own and a very solid addition to any collection of game music. And it's free! Pick up a copy at epicgames.com [http://epicgames.com/community/2011/04/fan-freebies-get-the-bulletstorm-soundtrack/].

Woo, free stuff. Don't mind if I do.

Seriously, as a music lover, this is nice. Thanks Epic!

The game and all the dlc is like $7 on Steam right now too. I didn't even like it when I tried it, but I'm gonna get it because who knows. Maybe I'll come around. I mean...seven dollars isn't a risk.

EDIT: That's Borderlands, not Bulletstorm. I need to go bak 2 skewl

The only bit of the soundtrack i noticed was the menu theme and that 10 second metal riff...

[sub]at least it wasn't as bad as the Crysis 2 soundtrack[/sub]

Still go free music i guess...

Awesome! The music throughout the game was amazing! Or atmospheric/dramatic, at least.

Downloading now!

...That's Borderlands. The soundtrack mentioned is Bulletstorm. But thanks for the heads up!

Note: $7 apparently means £7.50. Forgot about the Valve exchange rate. Still awesome though!

Borderlands =/= Bulletstorm

But anyone with a PC that can run Borderlands and passing up that offer is a fool.

Wait... why are you pointing out that Borderlands is on sale in a thread about a free soundtrack for Bulletstorm? Those really aren't the same things at all.

On Topic: Ooh - orchestral soundtracks that are also free? There's no possible way I could pass that up! Annnnnnd... downloaded, whee - let the listening begin!

Edit after having introduced my spiffy new soundtrack to my music library: For some odd reason all the files have their genre specified as "Sountrack", instead of, you know, Soundtrack (which is actually a word, whee!), but that's not especially hard to fix, just weird (pretty sure the same thing has happened several times in the past with other OSTs). More troubling to me personally was the use of underscores as word delimiters in the filenames themselves, which my brain will not allow me to leave as is and therefore compels me to edit them so that all my mp3s comply to the same naming conventions, but I have minor OCD - I can't imagine most people would even care about that.

The music itself is awesome, but somehow seems... I don't know, entirely too classy for a game like Bulletstorm? If I didn't know I was listening to the soundtrack from Bulletstorm I don't think I would ever have guessed that was where these tracks came from, they don't really fit my mental image of a game that revels in its immaturity, heh.

I'm a big fan of videogame/movie OST's, specifically orchestral music so this is good for me :D

It was once said giving away free stuff didn't make people like you.

Epic and People can Fly games just proved that wrong.
