Call of Duty Ghosts: refuses to start if 6GB requirement not met... yet barely uses 2GB on minimum?

Hey all!

Found this pretty interesting thread on NeoGAF [http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=709124], looks like Ghosts actually refuses to run if you've got less than 6 gigs of ram yet barely uses 2 gigs (or less) with everything on minimum.



I suspected downright bad optimization when I saw the requirements for it and I guess I wasn't far off, talk about using a low way to make an old engine seem next gen if this is true.

What are your thoughts on this? Anyone planning on getting it by the way?

When the few lines of code that generate that error message are found and when removed causes the game to run on below min-spec machines then I'll laugh.

Until then I'll keep an eye out for this, but to be honest this doesn't surprise me at all.
