Can anybody recommend a good puzzle game?

I recently finished Cogs and portal and would like to get more into puzzle games but I don't really know where to start. Could anyone give me any suggestions?

World of Goo. Friggin masterpiece. Awesome music, awesome puzzles, awesome everything else. And it's rather cheap.

If you have a DS, try Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. Lots of storyline, but the gameplay at its core is solving puzzles.
On that end, there's also the Professor Layton games.

Braid is a platformer largely about time travel and platforming. It's on PC and 360.

Professor Layton if you have a DS, any of them really.

If you're talking about PC as I'm guessing with cogs then Puzzle Agent is very good albeit short.

Braid is delightful as well.

Let's see... this thread has covered Braid and World of Goo. I'll say Toki Tori, which is pretty good, and Eets, which is very good. And Bookworm Adventures, if you're into that sort of puzzle.

What kind of puzzles (Puzzle Quest, Professor Layton, Blue Toad Murderfiles)? What kind of platforms are you talking about(PC, DS, PS3 etc.)?

Probaby not what you mean, but Pokemon Puzzle league and Pokemon Puzzle Revolution are very very fun games.

If you are more into adventure-puzzle games than definitely Myst series (at least the first 4 ones)
