Can someone help me with Mass Effect?

Sorry for making a help topic which will probably get lock down soon, but I'm in front of a corpse right now and I don't know how to loot it. I checked google, on the whole of the internet there is nothing to help me with this. I apparently you get first aid from looting, so it would help if I knew how to loot. I've clicked every button I can think of, but this just isn't easy. Can someone help me please? Before it gets locked or something (I don't really know the rules here)

As I recall you get loot from finishing off all of the enemies in the area, there is no way to directly loot a corpse in ME.

Make your character face towards the corpse, and then when it's highlighted press A if you're playing on the 360

When you kill an enemy, you get loot automatically. And that's not how you get medigel; you get it from dispensers in specific parts of the game (including the Normandy) and, once or twice, from specific NPCs, like Dr Cohen on Noveria.

you auto loot corpses. just go into your equip screen and it will show you what you got. not every enemy has anything lootable, its random. you loot lockers, cabinets, etc by hitting a on the 360.

Could you possibly also answer something else for me, just after I made this, I went back into the game and was sneaking up on a Krogan (in the tunnels on Feros) and I tried to run from him, but I was somehow stuck on walking, and he predictably ate my face and spat it down my throat. I wasn't kneeling because I tried sprinting which undo's crouch. So I was literally strolling away from this friggin Krogan? Any ideas? Any ideas anyone else?

Here a tip you may not know but if you get out of your moon rover (forgot the name of the car) you get like 3x exp per kill than in it.

You may have run out of stamina. See that gauge when you tried to run?

Wow guys, does it really matter that much? It's not like you're going to boot up Mass Effect, get onto the rover, press X, and if it doesn't work say "well fuck it, obviously I can't get out now."

You get medigel and grenades randomly when killing enemies, also medickits and other similar named objects around the world.
Grenades and Medigel can also be replenished on your Ship.

It's B. Pressing X makes you return to the Normandy if you're in the Mako (that's the name of the vehicle). I should know: I've been replaying the game this past week to warm up for Mass Effect 2.
