I don't remember any games actually making me cry.

However, I have certainly got pretty choked up on a few occasions:

Oni - The scene in Griffin's vault.
Ico - The ending. *sniffle*
Shadow of the Colossus - Agro's little accident. Also, the ending.
BioShock - The first two Big Daddies I killed. Also, the 'Hatred' audio diary
Prince of Persia - The ending.
Penumbra - While exploring Red's home.

I almost let a tear escape when I beat Metal Gear Solid 4. Mostly because of the nostalgia I had from remembering playing Metal Gear Solid for the Play-Station and also how difficult Snake's life was.

Now that it's mentioned, I recall crying over every media except Video-games. I got bad cases of melancholy a few times though.

My girlfriend's embrace counts to me as about as close to heaven (and thereby paradise) as I'll ever get ;) I went and visited her in USA x-mas 2008 and went back one of the first days in january. I found I fit in disturbingly well over there too...sigh v_v
Move there, dang nabbit!
[sub]I like making up curses[/sub]

It would count as extremely romantic to, wouldn't it?
Leaving everyone behind to be with her...

And stuff like that
Trust me, there's nothing I'd like more, but getting an education and keeping in touch with friends and family is really really hard on another continent...but I've thought about it. She might be coming in the summer for a visit though...I hope she does.

Did I cry, ever?
*thinks*
Oh right:

When Paige (almost, but you found out later) died in Beyond Good & Evil. That was so sad :(

I'm holding my thumbs for you
Thank you, my swedish friend :) I think some luck-wishing is goin' to come in handy for my next year ...'specially since I figure there might be tears in it on more than one occasion.

I've definitely cried in Video Games before. Not ashamed to admit it, the only one I recall at the moment is Final Fantasy X but I know they've been others.
when Tidus disappeared and Yuna sent Auron?
honestly me too

It's possible, but it's gotta be a character you really like/can relate to
Yes that's the one. I got really into the characters and the story.

Well, I'be had games make feel upset and seriously enraged, mainly when you get betrayed by someone who you trust. Crying...well.

NEARLY when I was playing FF9 and you figure at that when Vivi who is talking in the ending and that he ended up dieing. This made me upset because, well he was a character that just you didn't want to die. I'd also say that there have been near moment, also in Dragon Age Origins at the end.

Games can make you feel emtionally because you have a link with a character or with the entire story.

The most poignant, emotion filled moment in any game I've ever seen was when the dastardly right paddle bested the left paddle, leaving him in a state of utter paralysis and defeat. Pong had the best writing out of any game I've ever seen.

Poor left paddle. I still weep when I think of your loss.
I thought the plot was too cliched... good vs evil with predictable plot twists. It was so incredibly black and white, and the characters were so flat they were 2-dimensional. Don't get me started on the acting... for all the good it did they might as well went beep beep boop.
The puns, the puns they hurt they burnses me!
I REGRET NOTHING!

Closest I've ever came was HL2:E2's ending, but that just made me feel depressed and didn't get any tears.

If it was going to happen, it would've happened after I bought No More Heroes.
That game was painfully awful.
It's so good to know I'm not the only one who couldn't fucking stand that game.

Anyway, I'm having a little trouble remembering specifically when I may have let loose a tear over something that happened in a game, though I'm pretty sure it's happened.
Yea. I sometimes feel like the only one who noticed that Suda 51 really phoned it in with that one. Killer7 wasn't great but at least you could tell they tried to do something cool.

I finally remembered another game. The ending to Soul Blazer was so beautiful (or at least it was from my hormone riddled puberty stricken mind it was) I believe I shed a tear of sentimentality for that one. That game was pretty deep for a 12 year old.

Never cried at a game, but then I've never cried over a movie either and I've seen some heavy hitters. I'm a guy. Unless the pain is overwhelming, you don't cry.

That said, I did get the tiniest bit choked up when I finished Twilight Princess and realized that for an entire generation, Shigeru Miyamoto had replaced that story telling Uncle or Grandpa that used to be a part of the family dynamic and had raised many of us latch key children on stories of the triforce and mario (etc.) and that he would die before me most likely. Then again, I'm depression prone, so I feel sad over stuff like that sometimes.

Wow, this is the first forum post that almost made me cry. There were people that didn't enjoy No More Heroes? *sniffles*
