If by cry you mean getting your ass handed to you by a buch of 8 year olds on XBOX Live because you were having a bad day that day then yes it is possible.

If it was going to happen, it would've happened after I bought No More Heroes.
That game was painfully awful.
It's so good to know I'm not the only one who couldn't fucking stand that game.

Anyway, I'm having a little trouble remembering specifically when I may have let loose a tear over something that happened in a game, though I'm pretty sure it's happened.
Yea. I sometimes feel like the only one who noticed that Suda 51 really phoned it in with that one. Killer7 wasn't great but at least you could tell they tried to do something cool.

I finally remembered another game. The ending to Soul Blazer was so beautiful (or at least it was from my hormone riddled puberty stricken mind it was) I believe I shed a tear of sentimentality for that one. That game was pretty deep for a 12 year old.
Wow, this is the first forum post that almost made me cry. There were people that didn't enjoy No More Heroes? *sniffles*
The funny thing is, I personally don't know anyone who liked No More Heroes. The only people that I've heard say they like it are critics and people on forums.
Everyone I know personally that's played it (and that includes every wii owner I know-as I tried finding someone who wanted it after swiftly growing tired of it) hated it as much as I do. I did have one friend who didn't hate it but still thought it was pretty boring.
I couldn't give that game away, so I sold it on ebay- for twice the amount in cash that gamestop offered me in credit.

I can't think of the name of any games off the top of my hand at the moment but I certainly have cried at games. I cry far too easily.

Of course games can make a person cry. It's not all that rare, but it seems to me it's usually during cutscenes. Usually when people get weepy it's because of something happening with the story after the controls have been taken away. I'd be interested to see a common tearjerker where you're playing when it hits (closest I'd guess would be Portal).

I haven't even played Gears 2 before but I shed a tear when Carmine died. I was watching it from youtube.

During the end of FF8, when Lagoona was able to finally give that girl the wedding ring. I cried like a baby. Not ashamed either.

The most emotional a game has ever made me was playing a flash game called The Majesty of Colours. I don't know what it did to me, but I wrote a song with prominent balloon elements.

Oh, I am an admitted crybaby... I cried during the WoR Rachel scene in FFVI, again at the end of FFX, again during the opening of KH2, I cried at the Anju/Kafei subplot in LoZ:MM, and I even felt a twinge or two in Super Paper Mario, even though that was my least favorite game in the Paper Mario sub-franchise.

Only time I ever cried over a video game was Secret of Mana. The Soundtrack brought me to tears when you are leaving your village, I was pretty young.

I almost cried at the end of my second runthrough of Twilight Princess. It didn't really have anything to do with the actual end scene. What happened was I had become so immersed into the world of Hyrule that I had secretly wanted the game to never end, so I wouldn't have to part company with the characters and setting. I don't think I've ever been so enveloped into a fictional world like that before.

As sad as it is.. the ending to Fable II. I did the selfless hero action. The after affects made me cry.
