Can't we just get rid of relationship threads altogether?

Due to the substantial amount of threads(Yes, I am overexaggerating) of these fake relationship threads that devolve into "leet speak", can we please invoke a new rule to ban any new user who posts a relationship thread as their first post?

This eliminates the possibility of this particular troll trolling us with the same thread over and over, and for those honest people who came to us for proper relationship advice, who forget that this is first and foremost a gaming forum, it gets rid of such undesirables anyway.
Well, that's up to the mods. I'm sure they probably already have a more useful version of this rule that goes something like "if someone posts leetspeak we ban them". It's pretty easy to tell genuine relationship problems apart from fakes anyway.

That's why I started this thread: ---> http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.117161?page=1

However, sometimes people start their own relationship threads anyway because they want a more broad consensus of opinion and I think that's fine and they should be allowed to do that. However for someone who just wants to get straight to some useful advice without wading through four pages of silliness and negative stigma, they are welcome to use my thread.

I think it would be a better idea to have a posting minimum before users are given the privilege of creating threads. Trolls would have to be at the very least determined if nothing else.
Nice idea in theory, but they would just spam the required number of nonsense posts and then make their silly threads. It would backfire by filling the forums with these "obligation posts" instead.

People that are asking for relationship advice on the internet are barking in the wrong wood, let alone the wrong tree.
Why assume that people on the internet don't have knowledge about these things? They obviously do, seeing as how nearly everyone uses the internet these days.

I have a better idea.
As a community, we could simply decide that the people who troll this site are not worth the time it would take to respond to.
Even if you have a wonderfully eloquent point to make about whatever troll is on here, and you really, really want to make your spectacular putdown or what have you, simply leave their thread and go about your browsing in other ones.
Not that I actually expect people to follow this idea, but it'd be nice.

And the Off Topic Section exists for a reason...nearly anything that isn't Game related is welcome to be posted there.
Including those relationship threads, tiring though they are.
This is a very intelligent post and I agree with everything in it.
