History: Claire grew up as the only child of the wealthy, political "Montaigne" family. Her mother and father (Isabella du Eris-Montaigne and Louis Rich'e du Montaigne) acted as ambassadors for the more powerful political families to settle both inter-human and inter-species conflicts. When she was born, it was expected that Claire would become a desirable, high-class lady, destined for a life of social parties and ambassadorial duties. They never expected she would be such a wild child. Claire spent her formative years escaping the gaze of her teachers and playing in the forest of her families estate with the children of the surrounding town, much to her parents ire. Eventually, she calmed down and studied in earnest, though even then she tended to ignore anything that could not keep her interest.

During her 16th year however, her fate changed. After a fight with her father over an arranged marriage, she climbed atop the roof of their villa to calm herself. while climbing, a ledge gave way and she fell from the roof. The fall would have killed her if not for the awakening of her powers, that teleported her safely to the ground. Witnessing the event, her father agreed to null the marriage - she was worth far more political points given her powers.

At first, it was believed her powers were some form of Matsumancy, though how she learned to perform such magic was unknown. It took several "magical experts" before the truth of her power became known - she was an enhanced being, not a magician.

When the conflict over broke out between enhanced beings and magical cabals, she was called upon to aid the defense - it was her duty to her people. She has been unable to teleport herself since that first day, but has learned to call upon her powers (however weakly)

Skills: Due to her families political position, she is fairly well versed in the art of diplomacy and politics. Because of her tomboy activities, she can navigate the wilderness with the best of them and has a good sense of direction. She knows how to fence, but lacks any real talent for it. When it comes to self defense, she prefers the range of her crossbow (which she is somewhat skilled with) to the power of a sword. She is literate and speaks several languages. Finally, she has practiced the noble are of Falconry at her fathers request (though she does enjoy the activity) She has a Peregrine Falcon that she has named Elise.



Stats: (45/45) - Claire is quick in both mind and body, but lacks the physical strength and stamina of her more martially skilled brethren. She is educated, but tended to ignore the more lectured courses in favor of "learning by doing" (evident by her lower intelligence but higher ingenuity)

Main Power: Spatial Distortion - Claire has the ability to bend the fabric of reality to suit her needs. This manifests as the power of teleportation. Her power is limited by distance and mass

Stage 1: At her weakest level, she is capable of making small tears in the world, allowing her to move small, low mass (no more then a 20 lbs) object short distances (no more then 500 ft). She must be able to see her target location directly. Alternatively, she can reach through the small rift and bring something to her (same limitations apply). Objects moved maintain their momentum. This ability is conscious and requires her full attention. She cannot move unwilling targets.

Stage 2: At Stage 2, her rifts become larger and can act at greater range. She can move up to 100 lbs up to 1000 ft. She may now teleport to locations seen indirectly (through reflections, windows, etc)

Stage 3: At this stage, her rifts become safer and require less effort. She can now move 250 lbs up to a mile. She can create stage 2 or lower rifts with only partial concentration. In addition, she can (with great effort) move herself through the rifts without incurring injury. She can only teleport 10 to 20 times per day (depending on the dificulty of the jump, the distances of the jumps, etc) She may now teleport (herself or objects) without maintaining momentum if she chooses.

Stage 4: At this stage, she can teleport herself with ease to more abstract locations. Her weight limit increases to 500 lbs and up to 5 miles. She can now teleport to locations she has seen in the past and remembers - a few minutes to a few days depending on how closely studied. She needs to know about where the location is relative to her location and the destination must still be in range. The effort needed for all earlier stages is reduced

Stage 5: At her most powerful, she can teleport with significantly reduced limits. She can now teleport upwards of 1000 lbs and nearly 10 miles. She can take others with her through the rifts - though they still must be willing, is still difficult, and requires intense concentration (leaving her fatigued.) She no longer needs to have seen the location of her target, only it's approximate direction and distance is needed. She must have a general idea of what the destination looks like to open a rift there. The effort needed for all earlier stages is reduced and she can now teleport herself without limit. Finally, she can now increase the effective momentum of objects/people passing through her rifts.



Other: Claire caries her families sword; a master blade by a master blacksmith in the shape and style of the sword of her family crest. She rarely uses the blade, and lacks the strength to make efficient use of it. Instead, she uses a finely carved, but unadorned hand cross-bow in situations where her powers are less effective or in conjunction with her powers as needed. In addition to these and the gear she needs for any particular job, she also carries several changes of clothing for when her social skills may be needed.[/spoiler]

history: William was born into the family ash. They were poor and barley scrapped by. William spent the first 8 years of his life on the street scrapping food out of dumpsters. Everybody looked down on him an yelled at him for walking near them. He was really unhappy but the people who were the worst were foreigners. They sometimes beat him senseless because they could and found it fun. He started hating non humans.

His father had a big plan on the market of trade hoping to make money to escape this poor existents. A friend of him who owned a few shops wanted to invest in these plans. William's father then used his intelligence as well as his charisma to make a giant profit. Making them middle class citizens.

The family celebrated and changed their name to Phoenix. To show the world that they had once only been ash but now they rose above it like a Phoenix. William spend the next couple of years attending a good school and he was given practice in the art of selling an buying things.

When William turned 14 he told his father that he also wanted to contribute in the business. His father saw no harm in this and accepted telling him to branch out into the other lands. William used his charm to win over the hearts of the right foreign people, to make him able to make stores and once again turn a giant profit. His father was really impressed.

With their newly gained financial wealth the family Phoenix was now almost noble class. William got the highest grade education to further make use of his incredible charm and negation tactics. William also under went severe training in the art of combat. The trips he made all around the world were filled with danger and he didn't want to be left defenseless. His greatest treat were the Hansav vile underhanded beast in his opinion. They dominated the trade area and didn't take kindly to an human he has had numerous attacks on his life.

When William turned 18 he was finally done with his education of economics. He went on a very dangerous trip to try and branch out into Buvor lands. Fate struck however as there was a rock slide. Forcing William of the road he hid in an cave. When the rock slide was over William noticed that the exit was blocked. He began to hit the rock trying to get it out of the way.

After almost being locked in there for an entire day he once again try to break the rocks with his fist. When that didn?t work he sat down and thought to himself might as well die while being warm at least. He made an fire and sat down by it looking into it. He had always been fascinated by ash it had once been burned but could never burn again. Then the ash began to move and began to swirl through small holes around the rock. William was surprised but used his new found power to show his friends were he was. His friends came quickly to rescue him, He has been training with his power ever since. He found out later that an Buvor was practicing magic and made an mistake. William also began to grow to mistrust magic users.

William left the Buvor lands never too look back. He went home and told his father of his trip and he also told him he wanted to serve his country. His father was shocked by this news. But knowing he couldn't change his sons mind he forced him to under go an extremely tough military training for 4 years. After the 4 years were done William left his home in search of new adventure. And now he has found one.

1= Ash cloud blinds everybody except William.

2= Ash control can use the ash far better using it to blind people, or by shooting it into their airways making them suffocate or making an weak shield.

3= Ash creation can summon ash straight from his body.

4= Ash mastery can now change the color and the particles of the ash making far better shields. And even weapons he can fool his enemies by making look a like ash clones. Can use heated ash if it has been in contact with fire at some point.

5= Phoenix power he regenerates faster then normal humans. And can survive more then any other human can.

Other: William is extremely rich but never takes more then a bit of money on one of his trips. William has allot of connections in almost every country he also has quite a few hidden places where he stores all kinds of gear. And he is also known as the phoenix, Because of ash ability and that he was once poor but managed to rose above that and become someone of importance.

personality: Back home, Bom is something of a town character. Though he has all the makings of a skilled docker, Bom aspires to be a gentleman thief. His lethal combination of arrogance, clumsiness and stupidity can be a liability, but when kept in check, his genuine skills can make him a useful asset to the team.

skills: As mentioned, he is very strong. He is fearless and resolved, daring to walk headlong into things that would terrify his (smarter) compatriots. He has some basic seamanship and nautical experience, typical of his culture. He also has abnormally high endurance, leading some to speculate that he is too stupid to know when he is hurt.

history: Bom was raised well, but managed to lose nearly everything to cheats and cynical types. Feeling somewhat disrespected by the community, Bom became besotted with the image of the gentlemanly thief. This is reflected in his love for all things "high culture", causing him to spend what little money he has on human books, clothes and board games. Bom always keeps a collapsible chess board on his person - just don't expect him to know all the "fiddly rules".

Main power: Earth Dredger: a power to bring things back to life. This power is non-discriminating, meaning it will bring back everything that died in the area, including, at the power's highest level, prehistoric trees and ancient fossils.

LEVEL 1: Can bring back to life, all dead insects, grass and fungi in a wide area (10 yard radius). As Bom isn't keen on concentrating, this power can trigger accidentally.

LEVEL 2: Can bring back all the dead rodents and plants, and anything smaller, over a wider area (12 yards). Requires more concentration on Bom's part.

LEVEL 3: Can bring back anything as large as dogs, shrubs, etc over a wider area (14 yards).

LEVEL 4: Can bring back dead humans (in whatever state of decay). Assuming there are dead people in the area, they will rise and fight for Bom, with varying degrees of skill (based on state of decay/fragmentation).

LEVEL 5: Can bring back any and all dead creatures over a wide area (15 yards). These undead are reguvinated, giving them greater strength and intelligence. As this power can also cause petrified trees to sprout out of the ground, there is an element of risk to its use.

Other: Be sure to call him "Mr." He likes human honorifics. If push comes to shove, he'll fight using either his bare hands, or a lead pipe he carries for the purpose.

appearance: A thin human, about 6 ft, dressed entirely in green. His hat is the normal jester's hat with black streaks spawning from the middle and going to the tops. The bells on the ends still ring whenever he moves, though he can silence them if needed. Around his waist is a pouch full of bombs and explosives. It can go off if hit hard enough, or with magic but he usually empties it before any of that occurs. His knives are stored in a variety of places, some of which nobody wants to know. personality: While Fromanzio is not entirely insane, he acts like it to drive fear in his enemies. skills: Knives, bombs and fire. He is skilled at aiming and throwing bombs, can light basically anything on fire and is amazingly skilled with knives, to the point where if he actually has to do entertainment work, he relies on a mix of fire and knife tricks to get by.

history: When Fromanzio was 17, his house was stormed by an assortment of magi, for what reason he has no idea. When his parents saw them in the distance, they told him and his two brothers to run as fast as humanly possible. As they ran, all three saw the house burning and the magi catching up. One of his brothers did not make it, though his fighting caused enough of a distraction for Fromanzio to escape as well as his other brother in different directions. It was then that Fromanzio discovered his power. He escaped by jumping clean over a cliff. The only item he had to remember his family was a doll owned by his mother. A harlequin. The trauma that day caused made him forget everything about his past except snippits including his own name. With the doll as his only guidance, he donned his own jester's costume and named himself Fromanzio. The only people who would take him in were part of a gang affiliated heavily with the black market. It was with them that he learned his trade and it is said that if one hears the bells in their own house, death is to be the only song sang.

stats: 49/56 Fromanzio is not a defencive based fighter. He is very fast and agile however, with a great perception and an unmatched endurance. His charisma and ingenuity were both marred by the incident and he prefers to just blow things up and set them on fire rather than talk his way through a building. His intelligence is above average however, which is how he aquired the knowledge to make Greek Fire bombs.

Main power: Fromanzio is able to jump obscenely high and prefers jumping to runing. This has made him nearly impossible to escape from.
stage 1: Fromanzio can jump over a five meter distance and falls don't hurt as bad.
stage 2: Fromanzio can now jump over 10m and falling wont hurt him in the least.
stage 3: Fromanzio can jump and even glide now, able to slow himself down and at low altitudes can float. (up to 10 m high)
stage 4: Unrestricted flying for about thirty minutes at most. Top speed is about 20 mph.

Other: His brother is still looking for him, and has joined the army and become a high ranking officer.
Well once I made the remaining villains (left them for now so I could decide if they would have any relation to certain characters) This rp is going to start, so in the time till the rp start I will give you some pieces of info, and thne you may want to come up with character connection (they don't need to have met but they may have heard of each other or have a mutual acquaintance).

Pieces of info:
1. Some of you may have noticed the section on the character sheet said main power, well their is someone/something/some event (won't say which one of these) that will give you secondary powers, e.g. you may gain poison/venom immunity or can reduce the weight of object or just increases some stats. These powers will only have 1 or 2 stages and not be merely as powerful, you will also not be warned when this person/thing/event will give you the power leaving it up to you to try and figure out what caused it, and don't worry you will be able to tell what power you will get once you figure out what gives you the new powers. So then you can decide what member of the group could make the most use of it.

2. You all will be given PM containing knowledge that only your character is aware off e.g. rumours going around the black market. Do not share this info OOC, the other players should only find it out as their character finds it out for more natural responses.

When Claire was 5 there was an miscommunication between her parents and the person who was driving their cart. So they ended up in a poor neighborhood.

Claire walked around a bit eating from her bread when she found a starving 6 year old William passed out from hunger. He awoke when he smelled the bread he saw her standing there. He looked shocked and terrified and he tried to flee because he was afraid of nobles, but his hunger wouldn't let him run away.

She understood that he was starving and scared and she decided to share some of her food with the frightened looking boy. He accepted it and ate all of the bread that he was offered. after that they talked for a few minutes then she was called back to her parents.

He swore he would someday find her and pay her back for her kindness that saved him.

Claire has no memory of the event - at 5 years old she did not understand the concept of "starving." The most Claire knows of William is by his new last name, Phoenix, because of her knowledge of the many powerful human families (daughter of ambassadors)

William remembers the event that saved his life, but cannot recall the name of his chance savior. Claire has aged since the encounter, so he will also not likely remember her on sight, but she will seem familiar. We plan to have Claire hand William bread at some point (at a tavern while traveling, around a campfire, etc) which combined with her looks and what he remembers of the event will trigger his memory.

Name: James Oberon

Age: 26

Race: Human

Appearance: James stands at about 6' even; though not overly muscular, he's in fairly good shape. Brown hair, blue eyes, and a small goatee around his chin. Aside from a fairly normal shirt and pair of pants, James typically wraps himself in a ragged cloak, which he tends to dramatically toss aside whenever he starts a fight. In terms of accessories, he normally wears a pair of wool gloves, and when traveling he has a pack full of food, water, and other supplies.

Personality: Apathetic to an almost ridiculous degree, James cares about nothing and no one. Whenever he's not working, he can typically be found in some bar or market, buying food, drink, or anything else that might be able to pass the time. Depending on his mood, James can alternate between joking and carefree or surly and sarcastic. He's not swayed by politics or feelings, the only thing that can convince him to do something is cold, hard cash.

Skills: Considering the nature of his upbringing, it's no surprise that James has become quite proficient in brawling and street fighting; he's a challenging opponent, regardless of battlefield or equipment. Besides just simply fighting, some of James past jobs have allowed him to become quite adroit in the fields of body-guarding and intimidation.

History: Raised solely by his poor father, alongside several older brothers and sisters, it didn't take James long to figure out how life on the streets worked: If you worked hard, you got a bit of coin to get through the week, and then you eventually died. If you worked smart, you got enough cash to keep you comfortable, and had a shot of moving onto something better. James quickly noted the relative opulence that gangs and crime lords seem to enjoy, and decided that that was how he would make his living.

At the age of 16, just after his power had manifested, James left home and joined up with the first gang that he could. Needless to say, things didn't go to well for the young lad; even with his special ability he found that people still found ways of hurting or betraying him, and was quickly robbed of whatever pitiful belongings he had managed to acquire.

Having learned an important lesson about trusting others (Namely not to), James began to sell himself out as cheap muscle, acting as an enforcer or fighter for the highest bidder. Work, a few attempted arrests, and racism against humans keeps James on the move almost constantly; he can only stay in a town so long before the authorities or other races start getting upset with him. As such, he's adopted the life of a vagabond, taking any job he can so long as the pay's good and he can get a place to sleep for the night.

Main power: Negation of Kinetic Energy (Specifically dealing with Impacts)

Stage 1: James is capable of canceling either an "action" or "reaction" less than or equal to 50 joules (The energy a typical punch or kick would generate). He must be one of the parties taking place in the impact, either getting hit or hitting someone/something else.

Stage 2: James' limit soars to 200 joules of energy, and he can now negate anything within a meter of his current position.

Stage 3: Limit jumps to 500 joules, cancellation radius grows to three meters, and James gains the ability to "store" the energy he cancels, releasing it at will through other impacts within his area of control. At this stage, he can only store 50 joules of energy.

Stage 4: James can negate any impact less than 1000 joules, his area of control spreads to five meters, and he can store 200 joules.

Stage 5: Finally, James abilities allow him to cancel any impact within his range of vision, of which he can store 1000 joules.

Note for stages 4 and 5: If an impact he's canceling meets or exceeds 1000 joules, James' powers enter a 5 second cooldown phase. However, if he acts fast enough, he can chain together multiple negations, though the window is quite small, only half a second.

Other: Due to his power's initial limitation, James is a fist fighter of the highest caliber, preferring his own two hands over any other weapon.

I want a limitation to how much you can cancel out a force greater then 1000 joules, this would preferably be only once every 5-10 seconds (though you can counter multipal forces over 1000 joules if they happen within 0.5-1 seconds), it is small but would stop you from rendering nearly all physical damage to allies that you can see harmless. if you pick 5 sec for delay you pick 0.5 seconds for spread.

3. leather dusters aren't a thing yet, you could have a hooded cloth cape or leather armour. Also I presume the gloves are woollen.

2. e.g. if a geomancer throws a set of giant boulders at use if all the boulders (ke over 1000 joulse for sake of argument) would collide with use nearly the same time you could block them all, though if they are thrown one after each other and there is more then a 0.5 sec gap between their collision you could only block one and then have to wait 5 sec. Imagine a ability that take 0.5 sec after first use before it goes on a cool down and hence can still be used in that time and then the power cools down for 5 seconds.

When she was born, it was expected that Claire would become a desirable, high-class lady, destined for a life of social parties and ambassadorial duties. They never expected she would be such a wild child. Claire spent her formative years escaping the gaze of her teachers and playing in the forest of her families estate with the children of the surrounding town, much to her parents ire. Eventually, she calmed down and studied in earnest, though even then she tended to ignore anything that could not keep her interest.

During her 16th year however, her fate changed. After a fight with her father over an arranged marriage, she climbed atop the roof of their villa to calm herself. while climbing, a ledge gave way and she fell from the roof. The fall would have killed her if not for the awakening of her powers, that teleported her safely to the ground. Witnessing the event, her father agreed to null the marriage - she was worth far more political points given her powers.

At first, it was believed her powers were some form of Matsumancy, though how she learned to perform such magic was unknown. It took several "magical experts" before the truth of her power became known - she was an enhanced being, not a magician.

When the conflict over broke out between enhanced beings and magical cabals, she was called upon to aid the defense - it was her duty to her people. She has been unable to teleport herself since that first day, but has learned to call upon her powers (however weakly)

Skills: Due to her families political position, she is fairly well versed in the art of diplomacy and politics. Because of her tomboy activities, she can navigate the wilderness with the best of them and has a good sense of direction. She knows how to fence, but lacks any real talent for it. When it comes to self defense, she prefers the range of her crossbow (which she is somewhat skilled with) to the power of a sword. She is literate and speaks several languages. Finally, she has practiced the noble are of Falconry at her fathers request (though she does enjoy the activity) She has a Peregrine Falcon that she has named Elise.

Main Power: Spatial Distortion - Claire has the ability to bend the fabric of reality to suit her needs. This manifests as the power of teleportation. Her power is limited by distance and mass

Stage 1: At her weakest level, she is capable of making small tears in the world, allowing her to move small, low mass (no more then a 20 lbs) object short distances (no more then 500 ft). She must be able to see her target location directly. Alternatively, she can reach through the small rift and bring something to her (same limitations apply). Objects moved maintain their momentum. This ability is conscious and requires her full attention. She cannot move unwilling targets.

Stage 2: At Stage 2, her rifts become larger and can act at greater range. She can move up to 100 lbs up to 1000 ft. She may now teleport to locations seen indirectly (through reflections, windows, etc)

Stage 3: At this stage, her rifts become safer and require less effort. She can now move 250 lbs up to a mile. She can create stage 2 or lower rifts with only partial concentration. In addition, she can (with great effort) move herself through the rifts without incurring injury. She can only teleport 10 to 20 times per day (depending on the dificulty of the jump, the distances of the jumps, etc) She may now teleport (herself or objects) without maintaining momentum if she chooses.

Stage 4: At this stage, she can teleport herself with ease to more abstract locations. Her weight limit increases to 500 lbs and up to 5 miles. Other: Claire caries her families sword; a master blade by a master blacksmith in the shape and style of the sword of her family crest. She rarely uses the blade, and lacks the strength to make efficient use of it. Instead, she uses a finely carved, but unadorned hand cross-bow in situations where her powers are less effective or in conjunction with her powers as needed. His father had a big plan on the market of trade hoping to make money to escape this poor existents. A friend of him who owned a few shops wanted to invest in these plans. William's father then used his intelligence as well as his charisma to make a giant profit. Making them middle class citizens.

The family celebrated and changed their name to Phoenix. To show the world that they had once only been ash but now they rose above it like a Phoenix. William spend the next couple of years attending a good school and he was given practice in the art of selling an buying things.

When William turned 14 he told his father that he also wanted to contribute in the business. His father saw no harm in this and accepted telling him to branch out into the other lands. William used his charm to win over the hearts of the right foreign people, to make him able to make stores and once again turn a giant profit. His father was really impressed.

With their newly gained financial wealth the family Phoenix was now almost noble class. William got the highest grade education to further make use of his incredible charm and negation tactics. William also under went severe training in the art of combat. The trips he made all around the world were filled with danger and he didn't want to be left defenseless. His greatest treat were the Hansav vile underhanded beast in his opinion. They dominated the trade area and didn't take kindly to an human he has had numerous attacks on his life.

When William turned 18 he was finally done with his education of economics. He went on a very dangerous trip to try and branch out into Buvor lands. Fate struck however as there was a rock slide. Forcing William of the road he hid in an cave. When the rock slide was over William noticed that the exit was blocked. He began to hit the rock trying to get it out of the way.

After almost being locked in there for an entire day he once again try to break the rocks with his fist. When that didn?t work he sat down and thought to himself might as well die while being warm at least. He made an fire and sat down by it looking into it. He had always been fascinated by ash it had once been burned but could never burn again. Then the ash began to move and began to swirl through small holes around the rock. William was surprised but used his new found power to show his friends were he was. His friends came quickly to rescue him, He has been training with his power ever since. He found out later that an Buvor was practicing magic and made an mistake. William also began to grow to mistrust magic users.

William left the Buvor lands never too look back. He went home and told his father of his trip and he also told him he wanted to serve his country. His father was shocked by this news. But knowing he couldn't change his sons mind he forced him to under go an extremely tough military training for 4 years. After the 4 years were done William left his home in search of new adventure. And now he has found one.

He has some basic seamanship and nautical experience, typical of his culture. He also has abnormally high endurance, leading some to speculate that he is too stupid to know when he is hurt.

history: Bom was raised well, but managed to lose nearly everything to cheats and cynical types. Feeling somewhat disrespected by the community, Bom became besotted with the image of the gentlemanly thief. This is reflected in his love for all things "high culture", causing him to spend what little money he has on human books, clothes and board games. Bom always keeps a collapsible chess board on his person - just don't expect him to know all the "fiddly rules".

LEVEL 3: Can bring back anything as large as dogs, shrubs, etc over a wider area (14 yards).

LEVEL 4: Can bring back dead humans (in whatever state of decay). Assuming there are dead people in the area, they will rise and fight for Bom, with varying degrees of skill (based on state of decay/fragmentation).

LEVEL 5: Can bring back any and all dead creatures over a wide area (15 yards). These undead are reguvinated, giving them greater strength and intelligence. As this power can also cause petrified trees to sprout out of the ground, there is an element of risk to its use.

It can go off if hit hard enough, or with magic but he usually empties it before any of that occurs. His knives are stored in a variety of places, some of which nobody wants to know. personality: While Fromanzio is not entirely insane, he acts like it to drive fear in his enemies. With friends or companions, he will speak in an unstable method and people just don't like being around him unless they have to be. skills: Knives, bombs and fire. He is skilled at aiming and throwing bombs, can light basically anything on fire and is amazingly skilled with knives, to the point where if he actually has to do entertainment work, he relies on a mix of fire and knife tricks to get by.

history: When Fromanzio was 17, his house was stormed by an assortment of magi, for what reason he has no idea. When his parents saw them in the distance, they told him and his two brothers to run as fast as humanly possible. As they ran, all three saw the house burning and the magi catching up. One of his brothers did not make it, though his fighting caused enough of a distraction for Fromanzio to escape as well as his other brother in different directions. It was then that Fromanzio discovered his power. He escaped by jumping clean over a cliff. The only item he had to remember his family was a doll owned by his mother. A harlequin. The trauma that day caused made him forget everything about his past except snippits including his own name. With the doll as his only guidance, he donned his own jester's costume and named himself Fromanzio. The only people who would take him in were part of a gang affiliated heavily with the black market. It was with them that he learned his trade and it is said that if one hears the bells in their own house, death is to be the only song sang.

stats: 49/56 Fromanzio is not a defencive based fighter. He is very fast and agile however, with a great perception and an unmatched endurance. His charisma and ingenuity were both marred by the incident and he prefers to just blow things up and set them on fire rather than talk his way through a building. His intelligence is above average however, which is how he aquired the knowledge to make Greek Fire bombs.

Appearance: James stands at about 6' even; though not overly muscular, he's in fairly good shape. Brown hair, blue eyes, and a small goatee around his chin. Aside from a fairly normal shirt and pair of pants, James typically wraps himself in a ragged cloak, which he tends to dramatically toss aside whenever he starts a fight. In terms of accessories, he normally wears a pair of wool gloves, and when traveling he has a pack full of food, water, and other supplies.

Personality: Apathetic to an almost ridiculous degree, James cares about nothing and no one. Whenever he's not working, he can typically be found in some bar or market, buying food, drink, or anything else that might be able to pass the time. Depending on his mood, James can alternate between joking and carefree or surly and sarcastic. He's not swayed by politics or feelings, the only thing that can convince him to do something is cold, hard cash.

Skills: Considering the nature of his upbringing, it's no surprise that James has become quite proficient in brawling and street fighting; he's a challenging opponent, regardless of battlefield or equipment. Besides just simply fighting, some of James past jobs have allowed him to become quite adroit in the fields of body-guarding and intimidation.

History: Raised solely by his poor father, alongside several older brothers and sisters, it didn't take James long to figure out how life on the streets worked: If you worked hard, you got a bit of coin to get through the week, and then you eventually died. If you worked smart, you got enough cash to keep you comfortable, and had a shot of moving onto something better. James quickly noted the relative opulence that gangs and crime lords seem to enjoy, and decided that that was how he would make his living.

At the age of 16, just after his power had manifested, James left home and joined up with the first gang that he could. Needless to say, things didn't go to well for the young lad; even with his special ability he found that people still found ways of hurting or betraying him, and was quickly robbed of whatever pitiful belongings he had managed to acquire.

Having learned an important lesson about trusting others (Namely not to), James began to sell himself out as cheap muscle, acting as an enforcer or fighter for the highest bidder. Work, a few attempted arrests, and racism against humans keeps James on the move almost constantly; he can only stay in a town so long before the authorities or other races start getting upset with him. As such, he's adopted the life of a vagabond, taking any job he can so long as the pay's good and he can get a place to sleep for the night.

Rias's can convert fire in to raw energy which she can use for a verity of things, from attacking to defending to
crafting temporary objects out of hard light. constructs broken results in losing that energy, though she can store extra
energy in bottles for later use

stage 1: can convert fire slowly (a torch would take 3-5sec) into a cloud of glowing red
energy which can be used to make shields and weapons, you can control up to the energy of 5 torches
(this will be a unit of measurement) this allows for a weak shield just big enough to provide cover
while standing or a strong wall while crouching. and relatively easy to break weapons. Or more utility items such
as keys or rope.

stage 2: a torch would only takes 2-4 sec to convert and you can control twice the energy.
She now can use this energy to enhance physical abilities for a while

stage 3: she can convert fire instantly and can store four times the energy of stage 2
allowing the formation of wings, a barrage of arrows, energy golem etc.
I wanted to keep it to a team of six and honestly I felt that my character was the weakest from character sheet alone, though he will probably make a appearance or two in the course of the rp
The group was now meeting for the first time, they were all lead to a room containing multipal sets of armour ranging from leather to full blade, there was also a selection of swords, maces, hammers and bows. This room lead used to be the changing area of the Colosseum, there was a large open gate to one side, through which could be seen craters, boulders, broken weapons and splatters of blood.

In the middle of the room stood a general of the human army, he stood stoically and didn't have a single hair out of place and had a perfect set of teeth, as if he had never been in a fight once, he judged the group before bellowing 'You are now a squad, you will work together to solve this problem of unrest, you will follow your orders, Mr.Phoenix is in charge of you and his orders are the law to you, you will now take any equipment you feel is appropriate and then you will enter the training area.' The general pointed at the Colosseum area that was behind the gate, he then marched out of the room and closed the door behind, not stopping to answer any questions.

William turned around and looked at the group. This is what I get to work with? A couple of civilians and even a non humans?
Well it could have been worse at least they all look strong and are enchanted just like me.

William took a few steps and looked to the group he had been placed in charge off.

"Hello my name is William Phoenix I have been put in charge of this group like the general just explained to you. It is my job to make sure we complete this mission and that we all come home safe. But in order to do that I will need all of you to listen to my orders and obey every last one them.
Now in order for me to think of a battle plan I need to know a little bit about yourself. So if you all would like to step forward one by one and introduce yourself to the group. Tell us your name, your power and battle experience. I will start." *cough*

"As I said before my name is William Phoenix I am the leader of this team, and my power is ash manipulation. I have been in allot of fights and I have undergone severe military training. So that is about what I expect you to tell me."

Despite the rather grim atmosphere, James Oberon seemed to be remarkably comfortable. The sets of armor, the bloodstains, the cracked rocks, shattered weapons, the aura of war and death that permeated the are, they would put most anyone in an uneasy state, and even send a few people of the more squeamish variety scurrying for a latrine or refuse pile. Not so with the large man in the ragged clothes, his visage aloof and his body relaxed.

As the spick and span general prattled on and on, saying something about a squad and unrest, James leaned against one of the stone walls, the rock's chilly temperature doing little to annoy him. Through half-lidded eyes, the vagabond stared at his new best-friends, the commander's speech ignored as James analyzed the eclectic group around him.

"As I said before my name is William Phoenix I am the leader of this team, and my power is ash manipulation. I have been in allot of fights and I have undergone severe military training. So that is about what I expect you to tell me."

James hated icebreakers. They always seemed so pointless, especially considering the survival rate of people he met. Still, if the boss wanted an introduction, then it'd be best to give him one. Dredging up the familiar, half-forgotten speeches from the depths of his mind, James coughed, raised a hand, and began to speak. "Right, the name's James. So far as I can tell, I'm here to help keep... order or something? Not gonna lie, the job description I got was pretty damn vague.

"If you're looking for trained, elite soldiers, then yeah, sorry, don't think I quite fit the bill there. Still, I'll make sure to give you your money's worth, no need to worry about that."

Dropping his hand, James continued to recline against the cool stone, uninterested eyes scanning the rest of the party.

Claire listened to their newly assigned leader closely. She wasn't very familiar with military protocol, but she knew at least to address the leader by his rank or with the term sir. As she didn't know the former, she chose to use the later.



Stepping forward, she made her introduction. "I am Claire Ric..." she started to say, before catching herself - they would have little interest in her full name. "Claire du Montaigne." she said, correcting herself. She resisted the urge to curtsey and instead gave a poor attempt at a salute. "I have some training with weapons - fencing and with crossbows - but I have no actual battle experience." she offered, showing her rapier and crossbow to illustrate the point. "As for my power..." she said, before lifting her hand in the air. using her fingers, she pulled open a small rift in the world, no larger then her hand. The hole was a deep crimson in color, and a reddish mist formed within it. Another rift appeared beside her, similar in all respects. Reaching her hand through the portal, it appeared at the other end, just in time for Claire to finish saying "...spatial distortion" Claire finished, removing her hand and closing the portal.



Finishing her introduction, she made her way back into line, removed a small cut of dried meat and fed it to the falcon, Elise, resting on her shoulder - she was trying, with some success, to teach the bird to be tolerant of the portals she made; apparently the bird had some inherent aversion to them. She only hoped the bird would not be as afraid of the powers of her compatriots.



Floris, what military rank is William? Should we be calling him Captain Phoenix? Commander Phoenix? Lieutenant Phoenix? My favorite would be "Airman Phoenix", but I think that one is unlikely given airplanes have yet to be invented.

Bom was bemused. Everyone seemed so confident, in spite of their surroundings. He gulped, and tried to remind himself of what he was going to say. As he did so, Bom realised the others had already started speaking. He blinked and tried to note everything being said, hoping he hadn't missed much. When it came to his turn, Bom's mind had already gone blank.

"Bom. Mr Bom. I'm very uh...quite...well, uh...hello."

He gives an embarassed nod, accidentally tipping off his hat in the process. Stooping to pick it up, he next drops his gentleman's cane (a yard of lead piping). It hits the ground with a terrible clang.

Bom didn't want to say anything else, but felt obligated by the display everyone else had put on. As he retrieved his cane, he got inspiration. Time to turn on the charm.

"Pleased to meet you all! I'm sure my, uh, reputation pre...precer...presurs...I'm sure you all have already heard of me, yes?"

He looks around, hoping people would recognise the handsome gentlemanly thief before them. Instead, people were looking at the ground around Bom's feet. Bom looked too, and realised the old power had kicked in whilst he was talking. In his corner of the room, thick crops of mushrooms and moss sprouted between the cracks of the chamber floor. They came up about Bom's feet like a deep shag carpet, leaving a damp, muggy smell in the air. At the same time, the coiled up remains dead spiders began to stretch out and quiver. In an instant, they all went scurrying off in every direction.

"Oh, yes, that happens sometimes. Sorry."

Feeling the moisture around his toes, Bom took a few steps to the left, and decided to avoid eye contact with everyone else.

Fromanzio watched as each member of his new party made introductions, each highly confident, some with interesting powers. Fromanzio figured he would beat all of them in a fight easily. He gathered sight of the weapons and armour scattered around him on walls and immediately grew offended. The military dares to think Fromanzio would come to a mission ill equipped? How rude! The things Fromanzio would do to those villains if he could. Oh no, boss says Fromanzio has to remain calm and blend in, figure out if the army has any plans against the market. Well Fromanzio will show him! Once this mission is over, Fromanzio will stick a blade in each of their necks, finishing with him! Ha, what fun! How lonely their necks must be without Fromanzio?s knives, how would they dance if set on fire? A question worth looking into after this mess is settled.

Fromanzio realized it was his turn, he was sitting cross legged but sprang into action and leaped in the air like a jack in the box. Fromanzio spoke with a high pitched but playful voice. ?I suppose the leader demands an introduction from Fromanzio as well hm? Fine then! A show we shall have!? Fromanzio whipped out three knives in the blink of an eye, tossing them upwards into the ceiling. He then flipped three times, bells ringing until he was upside down and directly in front of Phoenix. The knives individually fell and he caught two in between his toes, and one in his teeth. The jester kicked at the air, sending the knives soaring and Fromanzio flipped over again, catching the two in his hands. The bells ceased ringing as he bowed. In what was less than an eighth of a second, the knives disappeared into Fromanzio?s hilts. ?Fromanzio hopes the glorious leader understands his abilities. Or must we proceed into a more personal example? Though, Fromanzio supposes you would like a bit more information, with that in mind, Fromanzio can win any one on one fight, jump above a large group of foes and then rain fire on them! Has the leader seen how one dances when on fire? Glorious, the show is absolutely to die for!? Fromanzio cracked himself up and he began laughing hysterically. Phoenix could see in his eyes nothing but madness and destruction. Gaining composure he hopped back to his corner, which had to be at least five meters away, landing in his cross legged position.

The adrenaline was exhilarating, everyone was staring at Fromanzio now, he wondered what their faces would look like if he surprised them all with a knife in the chest. Lovely thoughts behind him, he let himself calm down and kept a smug look on his face.

Rias was busying her self with fitting a set of gauntlets and greaves as the introductions started.

"Rias" she said bluntly as she walked up to her group. she looks around the room, clearly annoyed with getting drafted like she was, but then, she needed the money anyway.

"so whats this 'problem' that requires plucking people off the street?" she asks, still fiddling with the straps on her new armor, trying to get it to 'fit right' before shrugging and grabbing a chair and parking her self in it to await her answer

Well at least he looks like he has seen his fair share of fighting. We might stand a change after all. But then he thought back to the words earlier said to him today which came down to:
You have no change of victory you are just a distraction. Those words hadn't given him much hope.

"Claire du Montaigne. As for my power..." She showed them her power. William looked interested as well as surprised. "spatial distortion" So she is Claire du Montaige. I do wonder what a noblewoman is doing here. Her power does look strong.
I also have some special objectives regarding her.

Right allot of them have necromancy.

Fromanzio then gave an very impressing show but something about him felt off. Really off.

So this is what I get to complete this suicide mission? I don't like our odds here.
I mean I am only a private. But the less they know the better if they knew my position they might doubt my judgment.


"Well met to all of you." William said looking around the rag tag group of fighters.
"I will answer all of your questions to the best of my ability as soon as we have cleared the training area. We have to start soon so I don't have time to explain everything to you. What I can say is that we will face allot of really strong foes. And that if we don't work together we will all die. So arm yourself with any of these weapons and when you are done walk toward the opening to the arena so that we can start with our test." William grabbed his shield and sword and grabbed a nice looking helmet from the armor section.
After that he then went over to the opening of the arena. "I don't know what we will face in this arena. But as long as we stick together and help each other out I am sure we can handle it."
William said with an bright smile, then he put on his helmet and turned around waiting for the rest to join him.
