Catch Some Viewtiful New Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Footage
Henshin-a-go-go, baby! It's time to watch Marvel vs. Capcom 3's Viewtiful Joe in action.
Earlier this week, we learned that two more fighters would be joining the star-studded roster of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/102869-Viewtiful-Joe-and-Dormammu-Enter-the-Ring-in-Marvel-vs-Capcom-3]: Starstruck action hero Viewtiful Joe and slightly obscure Marvel demon Dormammamumufu (or something like that).
In case you wanted to see what Joe and Dormammu look like in action, here are their respective Gamescom gameplay trailers. Having never read anything with Dormammu in it in my life, I can't say whether or not he's particularly faithful to his comic-book character. Joe, on the other hand, seems to have his usual tricks like the Voomerang, the V-Bombs, and of course the Six Machine (which turns into a giant cannon this time around).
I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed in Joe's appearance. Sure, he might look kind of out of place with the general visual style of the game, but he just doesn't look the same without the big black comic-book outlines, does he? Given that it's a crossover fighter with comic-book characters, maybe they should have made the whole thing look like Viewtiful Joe instead.
That would have been great.
