I think they stopped caring about anythin around the time they created a character called Captain Nazi

Captain Nazi is a circa 1950's character. This means you have never cared about DC ever, in your life.

Red Skull, Hitler's Clone(?), was and is pure Marvel though.

Honestly most comic book characters are rather stupid and purile until you reimagine them... I could reimagine Superman to make him badass without changing the character or his backround at all, it's just a matter of taking advantage of his circumstanced.
