Does anybody else, when the game requests that you come up with a name for your charecter, have any consistant names that you always use.
Every single charecter I have ever created has ether been named Zack or Zoey depending on their gender. I dont know I just like those names.

Totally depends on how I want to play with the character or how the character would be.
If I have no idea I just think of a nice name. Though Girl names are very hard for me.
So I mostly stick to Emma. Though Emma doesn't sound very nice in Dragon Age Origins when hacking and slashing people to death. ^_^

Equinox. One sweet name. The perfect between night/day.
Though these days it's mostly Matt

I generally name them and play them as I would some of my tabletop game characters. There have been Zaks, Malleks, Ruperts, Gaidens, Lallana (for one of the few female characters I played mostly for grins.), and some characters I name after NPCs I created in my campaigns for my group. Dominus, Derik, Alice, and a few others that are less common.

The only name that is consistent throughout is "Adria", and "Orici" if a class or title is requested. It's from Stargate and I've always loved that name.

As a general rule I go with anything that isn't covered by a profanity filter.

Yes, I can be immature too.

Elric, Elric de Melniboné, Elric von Rabenfels, Elric of Melniboné.

Yeah. I stopped trying to think of an original name for hours long ago.
These names suit most of the characters I play anyway.

IF I don't use any of these, I use a variety of other names, though.

Kord, William, Lester, Edward, Garrett, and when I'm feeling -really- original: Khorne or Kharne.

I always use the name Alderon. It's kind of my net alias and it extends to games as well. If it's a female character I use Alessia.

Oh and before anyone asks, NO it's not based on the planet from Starwars! I thought it up for a Baldur's Gate Ranger originally and it stuck.

I'm pretty attached to the name though, it's been used now for around nine years.

One I always go with in fantasy is Syphillitas. Names like that always make me smile.

Last character I made was called Soddhoffe.

I go with Tetros, Flamvell or Ahab. One I got from a particular video game including blocks and the arrangement of those blocks. The other I got from a trading card.

Well for my good guy warrior/paladin types I almost always have Sovvolf, for bad guy warrior/shadow knight types I almost always have Garidan.
For good or light spell casters I have Dantros, for bad or dark spell casters I have Darakule.
For good rangers I have either Dreyous if its an elf or Garret if its a human. For evil rangers I have Nathaniel or Mist.

So yeah I have my own little names for my character types.

I used to be more creative with my naming but now it is usually either Punyis or Jim. The only exception lately has been Borderlands where my friend and I called our characters Watson and Sherlock...
