Check Out This Amazing, Terrifying, Giant Pokemon Fan-art Gallery

Artist Katrina Young [http://www.katartillustrations.com/] shows us a terrifying vision of gigantic Pokemon rebelling against their human overlords.

Does anyone else ever wonder why the monsters of the Pokemon universe never rebel against their human overlords for keeping them in tiny balls and forcing them to fight? To celebrate last week's launch of Pokemon: Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, artist Katrina Young [http://katartillustrations.com/] has painted a vision of such a world, and gone ahead and pumped up the Pokemon to adequately monstrous sizes to boot. Check out her amazing fan-art of gigantic Pokemon wreaking havoc on the human world:

"Charzilla" and Lord Helix are my favorites, but the bloodthirsty Pikachu, and the Ninetails that pays tribute to the Japanese legend it is based on [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine-tailed_fox], are still pretty impressive.

Additionally, as a bonus, regular-sized Pokemon image, Kat also sent us this adorable picture of all of the "Eveeloutions" arranged in the shape of a heart. D'awwww. (click to enlarge):

If you liked these, be sure to check out Kat's website [http://katartillustrations.com/]. As well as Pokemon fan art, she's done some pretty impressive BioShock, Dr. Who and The Last of Us pieces, and also takes commissions.

OT: Some of those are pretty sweet, and peeking in underneath the gate, ninetails really reminds me of naruto's nine tailed beast -_-

They are both based off the same Japanese legend (there's a link to the wiki article in post). There's also an actual "nine-tailed fox shrine" in Japan, where the beast was supposedly defeated and sealed (it's near where I live).

that makes alot of sense now and plays along with the character design almost perfectly...heck, that picture of the japanese version of it looks just like the naruto nine tails.

Fun fact of the day, right before midnight. This will definitely earn me "you must be real fun at parties" points.

I'd say that this is mildly better than disney princesses, but only slightly. The idea is amusing, but I can't say that I like the art style.

I like how the Pikachu invades Tokyo one is right in front of Sega.
Surprised no one caught that, or mentioned it.

Speaking of which, she did a really impressive piece on Frozen, titled "Blood is Thicker Than Ice:"
