Lawl... there goes the economy..... and here comes hours of farming...... crap...
Actually, gold farming at the rate it was going at in China could've ruined the economy through inflation. Making more money in a country means that the price of products bought go up as well, and the money evntually loses all value. This is what happened in Germany in the early 1900s and what is currently happening to Zimbabwe.

Just because less money is being made doesn't mean that the economy will be destroyed. It could easily be destroyed by too much money as well.

So, I support this law. Gold farming is a rip off and a corrupt way to earn a living.

I'm lollin' cause the other china related blizzard news (it's old, but I saw it for the first time because it was related to this story), about how China banned StarCraft Ghost's name because they felt StarCraft would stir up belief in feudal superstition. "China is a very weird place".

On topic with this.. If they really did ban Gold Selling, then good for them.. I don't think america, or the free world in general should make a law banning it, but if China wants to do it, more power to them.

reminds me of a joke on one of the old school UR (pre-escapist)
Ponting to a Chinese guy "And here's our gold farmer" "you can't farm gold" "you can in China mike" at which point the words POTENTIALLY RACIST appear at the bottom of the screen for a breif moment. It'd appear that jokes like these will soon be a thing of the path. Seems like quite a bold move for china and

weh, I couldn't care less.
Now if they banned videogames, I'd be furious and purge those in power in said nation because their minds are clearly running circles around Jack Thompson.

Isn't this bad for their economy, though?
not worse for government's economy because they cant tax gold selling and I imagine they dont give a shit if they make a bunch of their own people poor. I dont know alot about the china so maybe this is just ignorance.
