If they didn't steal every last goddamned liberty from the people, then maybe their citizens wouldn't be running to games and the internet 24/7 to escape from their depressing reality. If I had to live in that society, then escaping for hours in a game world would seem pretty appealing.

At some point China will have to really start putting two and two together to figure out why so many people are addicted to gaming. Here's a hint: THEY AREN'T ALLOWED TO DO ANYTHING ELSE! I mean, sure, there is gaming addiction all across the globe, but nowhere near that of what's happening in China.

Well, trust China to be the ones who bring down the hammer...
I see what you did there.

But, we can't have pictures of students getting run over by tanks, for instance.

Neither can we get pictures of students eating toys with lead-based paint.

Or Pictures of Babies drinking milk with toxic paste in it, that's supposed to be used for painting, but it's in the milk just to save a quick buck and make the milk thicker. Thus causing 10,000 children to either get sick or die.

I guess that's just too damn many to ship off to ship off to boot camp [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/101201-Internet-Addicted-Chinese-Youth-Break-Out-of-Boot-Camp].
Ohhh look! I can be helpful and annoying at the same time!

Anyway, back to talking about the topic.

Every time I look at china's government I look at mine and smile a bit. I mean, at least they don't try to beat and kill me right? :p

Nonetheless, doesn't this all backfire? Or are Chinese people really that obedient and bow down towards the Government, hopelessly getting their faces bashed in with more suffocating rules.

Imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever.

I'm now on my knees thanking my Grandparents for running away to Hong Kong during the Cultural Revolution instead of staying in China. I don't know what I would've become if I was born there.

That boot camp picture is hilarious.

Or I don't.
Or maybe it's the massive military and the communist regime? Or maybe chinese people really do like getting pushed around...

Ah, isn't censorship grand?
Are you kidding? It's...Oh, hold on. Someone's at the door.

*screams, sound of violence, and a few moments of time*

Yes. There is nothing wrong with censorship. I say this of my own free will.
