"Each time somebody threatens to commit suicide to get media attention or sympathy over personal problems we end up with several hours of tailbacks and there were lots of complaints. Since we put up the butter there have been no problems with these attention seekers."
Seeking attention via suicide is incrdibly moronic, you would be abe to bask in the glory. This guy has no idea what he's talknig about.
Most people who attempt suicide ARE attention seekers. They don't REALLY want to kill themselves, they just want the attention it comes with. The people who DO kill themselves rarely do it publicly and are usually swift about it. A REAL suicidal person isn't that guy that stands on top of a bridge shouting "GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD! NOBODY LOVES ME!", it's the guy that smiles to everyone like nothing is wrong, then closes himself in his room with a 9mm and goes jackson pollock with his brains all over the wall.
People who are truly set to kill themselves don't want attention, don't want publicity, because they don't want to be helped anymore, they don't think anything can help them. These people don't hesitate. People with REAL suicidal tendencies have reached the very bottom of the abyss and no longer want help, because they honestly don't believe they can be helped. Those aren't that common. More often than not what you DO have are people who desperate at a specific time and consider suicide because of all the attention and sympathy it inevitably generates. These are the hesitant. The ones standing on top of the building shouting "I'LL JUMP!!". And you can be sure, they won't... They only think they want to, but they honestly know they don't want to because in their mind they can still be helped. That's why they want attention.
So yeah, you have no idea what you're "talknig" about.
@ topic: The irony is... Now diabetics can easily kill themselves by just licking the bridge to death....
...Sorry, had to.
