Choose Your Own Dishonored Adventure With New Trailer

Sneak, attack, and blink in the interactive video highlighting Dishonored's gameplay options.

Steampunk stealth/action game Dishonored is all about choices, letting players decide whether to take the stealthy approach or go on the offensive while playing the game. The "Path to Revenge" trailer highlights just a few of those choices, showing the outcomes of being sneaky, attacking foes without a second thought, or using the blink ability to teleport past a sticky situation.

What's interesting about the video is that there aren't clear-cut right and wrong decisions, so each action really just depends on how you want to play the game. My first time through, I chose what appeared to be the most aggressive actions, because I generally don't have the patience for stealth. When I went through the video a second time to see how some of the other options played out, I realized that the other choices could be just as effective, even with the situation being handled completely differently.

Dishonored will be sneaking to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on October 9.

I R FULL OF WANT!

In all seriousness though, these 'pick your path' trailers are really neat. I'm not sure if they've been done before but I've never seen it if they have. This game really seems to know how to make you feel like a predator.

an awesome bit of marketing.

Hopefully Hitman won't disappoint (hoping its not really the 12-ways-to-kill-the target-laid-out-for-you - just pick your favourite one- and more like blood money)..but if it does disappoint this will definitely make up for it

I remember they had these trailer's for just cause 2..they had a stealth option. you play the game...no stealth mechanic lol.

Hopefully it's not only the 4 ways to get through each corridor but really get into the building through 5 different entrances in 4 different ways

AHA! I will release the dogs that you have cruelly abused and...wait a minute...GAH THIS ISN'T HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO GO! Note to self, if one of the dogs isn't in a cage and the guard is feeding it and the guard is talking to the dog fondly...odds are the dog doesn't have a grudge with the guard.

in other words, I WANT!

Wow, what an interesting marketing idea - but why did the guy think it would be a good idea to release all the hounds next to him? lol

Also, advertising the in the spam filter? Meh if it keeps them in business.

Well I now love this game.

loved the multiple options, though I always go for Incapacitate. MGS and Deus EX has rubbed off on me that way.
