This actually looks pretty good. I lost faith in Ridley Scott a long time ago, but this could be interesting. Of course, I could just go back to watching the animated film and get a better experiance.

First off, there is no evidence of this event ever happening. It's a fairytale. For all the attempts of archeologists, not one piece of convincing evidence has emerged to show that large numbers of jews were ever kept as slaves, let alone the plagues and exodus, which is all conveniently missing from Egyptian history.
Oh, here we go, with people bitching about religion, even if their view have nothing to do with the actual quality of the film. Let the film stand on its own merits. Love it or hate it because of the actual quality of the storytelling. People need to get off their high horse. We adapt classic Greek stories all the time, and there's no problem. The bible actually has some great writing, completely independent of your own faith. This isn't Heaven is for Real or Gods not Dead. It actually looks pretty good.
