Co-op action or RPG game?

So here's the deal. My boyfriend and I are both gamers with radically different tastes in games. I would really like to play some games with him but he hates shooters and all we seem to play are fighters.

Are there any RPG or Action games that are co-op? Suggestions for any console of this or last gen would be welcome.

He wasn't all that thrilled with the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood's multiplayer either.....

I know Fable 2 has co-op. Is it playable together long term?

Magicka. I always suggest Magicka. It's a parody of most fantasy games. It's fun. It's exciting and it's interesting. You'll laugh as you die or get thrown out of the map. It will happen. Don't let it put you off. Not for console but its graphics are pretty good on low . It has gamepad support though

Fable 2's co-op is fine in split screen. It's just online that sucked.

Fable 2 won't last very long, but that and Fable 3 are the only two RPGs with splitscreen co-op that come to mind.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is the only thing that comes to mind since I only own a PS3

Magicka looks fun, as long as it runs on a older PC.

It's really too bad games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age don't have co-op. Assassin's Creed or Tomb Raider co-op could be really fun too. I'm sure they could implement it easy enough. Say for example if Sully and/or Elena was playable in Uncharted.

You could check out Sacred 2 for the PS3. It's a RPG with full CO-OP through the entire campagin.

Yesss!!!! The Lego games are pretty much the only multi-player games we agree on!

I've never heard of Sacred. Is it turn-based? I don't play alot of RPG's.
